watching the sens vs caps game on tsn and ovie is wearing the vector helmet. and they were just talking about the new 10.0 stick because ovechkin broke one on one of his first shots they also mentioned that he had broken 5 in another game :o

They also said he's broke 40 sticks in 27 games *yikes*

[EDIT]: Ovy's got 3 shifts...4 shots and has broken 2 sticks in 3:03.

In the dallas game he broke 2 in warmups, 1 in the first period and 2 in the second

Has anyone else noticed like 85% of the NHL that wears the CCM helmet wears the old 652, and they stopped selling it to try to sell the fugly 692.

I like the Classic Red & Blue logo on the front of the pro ones...I don't think you can get that retail...everything I've seen is all black or white logos.

ESPN did a little segment on his new stick, it was alex in the locker room showing off his new stick, he looked so happy like a little kid getting his first ops. it also showed him flexingit, the stick was almost at a 90 degree angle

yeah tsn showed that too. his sticks look really whippy i wonder what flex he uses

Gina Reda did his +/- for last night....he gave CCM a Minus for the 2 sticks that Ovy broke....they showed a clip of him in the room LEANING on the thing...not really surprised that they broke. Probably the same clip ESPN used.

He's probably not using as whippy a stick as we'd think...he's just that damn strong.

He's 6'2, uncut 100/reg flexes are like noodles......i'd guess he's using a reg or something between 95 and 105

He flexes a 105 like I'd flex a 60.

Alexander Steen was also wearing it tonight leafs vrs thrashers, it's on sportsline but cant get the pictures to go big :unsure:

For what it's worth, Joe B said at the start of tonights caps/flyers game, that ovey wasn't happy with his new sticks and has gone back to the old ones for now.

I'm watching the game here, but I don't have HD, so have not saw his twig up close.

He does have the first goal of the night, so whether it's a confidence thing or an actual stick thing, so far, the change has done him good

I thought the Itech/Mission helmet was ugly when I first saw it, now it's just another helmet.

In my opinion, helmets are one of the ugliest pieces of equipment. My Bauer 4000 does the job, but that doesn't mean it looks good. It happened to be the only XL I could find under $200
