TPS R8 Palm

Recommended Posts

I just ordered TPS Response 8's and i was wondering if the palm was durable, it was like a new fiber technology. It was reall, really, flexible and comfy, but will it last?

The only way to know for sure is to use them. I really like the palm and I hope it holds up because I can see myself going with them for my next gloves.

aight, i'm on the ice 5-6 times a week so Ill probably keep like a little journal kinda deal and tell you how they hold up, when I tried them on, they felt like they were already broken in

I was shocked at how comfy they were at the show.

That actually looks pretty nice...$105 US isn't too bad compared to other high end gloves.

Any idea how much the R8 Lite and R6 will retail for?

I just got a pair of Sean Avery's Pro Stock R8 Lite gloves, with these sick grey spidery digital palms. Even better than the R8 butter soft palms. I don't think they will last long though, One game, and the plam where the butt end rest is showing some wear, but damn they are soft and thin....

I was thinking about ditching my VaporXX gloves for something new. I was leaning towards the One90s but maybe I will look at the R8.

the one90s will be closer to the XXs than the R8s. The R8s are medium loose with nash palm. If anything in NBH's lineup they are like the 4-roll.

what exactly do you mean by "high cut?"

The glove is NOT the same as the 4-roll, but it's the closest glove NBH makes that is comparable. The R8 is a bit tighter and less bulky than the 4-roll.

Thanks for the input. I did find the R8 on an online retailer. They had a few but one of them was $260, or something like that. Weird........

I was trying on a bunch of gloves last night as the palm on my Vector Pros is starting to go (after only six months...). The R8 had to be the nicest feeling palm of the whole lot. The fit is a bit looser than the Vectors but it's similar in that the fingers and entire palm is medium fitting rather than just one being tight like Vapors or Eagles. Very comfortable. I would say the cut is probably medium/medium long. Similar to the Vapors.

Odd thing was though, I tried on four different pairs and they each fit slightly different. One had noticeably shorter pinky fingers and was looser than the rest. That makes me nervous about ordering online.

Great glove for the money though, should compare nicely against $120-150 gloves. Going to try on some Tacks for comparison though.
