Superbowl or Hockey?

I was wondering if anyone else had a game last night?

I realize that the NFL is not so popular around the world, but was anyone faced with a Superbowl or hockey game delama?

We had a beer league game last night. I went to a SB party for about an hour and a half before, then went to my game. Glad I did.

But, we were like 4 players short. We still won, even though I had to play most of the game :P

Anyone else have to make a tough choice last night?

2 years ago we had a game at like 5 on superbowl sunday. the problem was, that it was an hour behind us, and the rink was 3 hours away.

i missed the whole game. it really made me mad!!!

My Regular Sunday night Pick up group moved to Sunday morning. Because it's only p/u, we'd be really short if we played during the "Big Game"

I had a game that started near the end of the 2nd quarter. I watched some of the game on TV, then listened to some on the radio in the car. I considered bringing a radio to the bench but didn't. I didn't consider this a hard choice because I knew our team was going to be seriously undermanned, but more importantly, I felt I knew how the game was going to end.

And we were really short, only one guy on the bench for about half of the game, then another guy showed up. One of our guys only sat down once the whole game. Unfortunately none of the guys who are always bitching about ice time showed up.

This is the first year in a long time that I haven't reffed during the super bowl, so I actually got a chance to watch it.

This is pretty much how my night went. One guy on the bench. Myself and my D-partner played basically the whole game(1 break each). We won, and I scored 2X, had 2 assists, Sup-Bowl pretty much stunk, still drank a good amount of beer=good night all around.

i watched super bowl because it aired on one of our free channels and no hockey aired. and it was night @ work, so i basicly got paid for doing it :) norman hour + sundaybonus + nightbonus

Beer league didn't schedule any games yesterday because of it, which sort of pissed me off. Last year was cool because Seattle was in it so you can understand that. Didn't watch the game for more than a few minutes, it was boring even for a football game.

Some commericals were pretty good...IMO the slapping one was pretty good.the teaching how to say bud light was pretty good and also the doritos one..the snickers one made me not want to buy snickers ever again.

I lined two games, one at 3:15pm Pacific Time and one at 6:15pm. During the break between games I just chilled in the dressing room for a bit then went out and watched some of the action from the 6-year olds playing. Didn't "miss" the game at all.

In the past, I've also played during the Super Bowl. Don't remember which one it was, but the SB when the Washington Redskins beat the Miami Dolphins in the early 1980s, I had a Bantam game during that game so I've only seen it in highlights.

I like playing any hockey over watching any TV. It wasn't as good as a game but it was still better than sitting on the couch.

Well, I had a baby at 10:30 in the morning, watched the Penguins at 2:00 in the afternoon at the hospital, and watched the Super Bowl after having gone about 40 hours without sleep. It was ok, Prince was great at halftime, not many musicians on the planet as talented as he, have no idea about the commercials, I didn't pay attention to any of them.

We usually have the annual father- son game on the outdoor rink, followed by some time in the bar every Super Sunday. This year the game was moved to this Sunday due to the cold, everyone wanted to play but the folks at the rink nixed that.
