Bauer endure sticks

Recommended Posts

So how good are/where these. I see them at prices that i find tempting, and am wondering. I used to have a XXX and really liked it but it broke, and since i have no $$ i have been waiting to replace it. I was thinking of the TPS Adrenaline [sp], but now i see this stick for less $$. IS it a great stick [mostly looking for somehtuing to help me with shot velocity], or should i save up for the TPS? Thanks for any thoughts.

I swing two of the Endure shafts and they're great. Lightweight, sturdy, aesthetically pleasing, etc. A nice price point piece of lumber, I'd back it.

I combo one with a Supreme90 P88 blade and it's a very light and effective stick.

Thanks, but i ment more the 1 piece version.

Word, but my other Endure shaft is paired with an Endure blade, making it fairly close to an Endure OPS and it's an all around great stick with the weight, durability, etc. And I see they're on special at Hockeygiant for $60, so I'd definitely grab some, but I like trying out different sticks and I may be venturing into Warrior land possibly.

The endure is going for 60 dollars on hockeygiant at the moment and they have a good selection of flexes & curves.

From those i have spoke to, they liked the endure. Comparing it to the ultra lite in the fact that it is of reasonable performance and lasts.

Adrenaline all the way. Better blade curvature selections than Bauer and, I think, a more consistent workmanship in their sticks.

Picked one up at the local HG today, they had about 10 left, luckily one of them was exactly what I wanted, a 77 flex P88 lefty. They also had Mission Axis for $30 (3 righty Ribeiro) and some Nike Apollo or something for $20.

This P88 was a lower lie than 6, closer to 5.25 to 5.5. I put it up against a Heatley and it was only a smidge higher. So that's great.

The flex is a good deal stiffer than my TPS XN10 whip shaft, which was perfect as that thing was torquing on me. My shots were much more on target than usual tonight (3g 2a but 4-on-4). Slappers were better too with the higher flex. Everything else felt good. It's well balanced but a bit heavier than the performance sticks. Well worth $60. And hopefully I can use the shaft if/when the blade goes.

I also really liked the One90 shaft, would like to pick that up if/when my TPS goes, but that's another thread...

Hey guys,

I didn't want to start a new topic in regards to the endure stick. I'm having a hard time to find which is equivalent to the easton modano pattern. In the pattern DB here modano is

Modano/Forsberg Mid-Heel Slight 3/8" Slightly Open Short 5 Round none

which is really close to the PM9

PM9 Mid-Heel Slight 3/8" Slightly Open Medium 5 Round none

however hockey giant has the pm9 with these stats

Hossa/PM9 Mid Moderate Open 6 Round Medium

if someone could help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks.

The Endures durability is great, they hold up really well. And from what customers tell me they like the performace too. Not a bad deal, especially at close out prices now.

there is a lot of players in the Swedish elite leauge (SEL) that uses the Endure. SEL stars Pekka Saravo and Lubos bartecko of Lulea hockey does both use the Endure.. So, it cant be a bad stick..

Most bang for the buck?

and if you'd like to venture into the Adrenaline market, i believe the closest TPS pattern to the modo/forsberg is the tkachuk(SP?)

Grip has been fine for me. It doesn't have as most grip sticks, especially Bauer's. I have Vector gloves with grip palms and haven't had an issue yet (my old Vapor XX was so grippy I had to scuff it down).

Really been enjoying mine, ordered a P92 as a backup/alternate (using a P88 now) but I might cancel and just grab another P88 since I've been playing so well with that curve.

I rock a P88 on my Endure as well. Grip is fine, some teammates who aren't familiar with grippiness are surprised how grippy it is, but you get used to it.

Normally I don't like other dudes touching my shaft.

Neither do I

The Vapor VIII looks almost identical to the Endure. It's heavier though from what I remember. But it seems to have that metal strip running down the top. And the blades are different; doesn't have that goofy rubber piece on it.

I'm wondering how many price point sticks Bauer really needs:

Endure 2

One70

One50

Vapor VIII

Vapor VII

Vapor V2

And you can still find Endures and Apollos as well. Seems odd to me.

One odd thing I found:

tx.backstom.frolik.jpg

Looks like Backstrom is using either an Endure or a Vapor VIII.
