well I finally broke my sickick prostock filppula and I really want to find a retail blade that is the same (or near the same) as the pattern which he uses. I can consistantly roof my backhand with this curve and I find that my wrist shot is more accurate while using it. I think it's close to a forsberg but the guy at my LHS said it's more of a Draper.

Also if anyone in detroit can get a hold of his prostock sticks ill pay you to send them to me!!!!!

Bad angle, first of all. It doesn't look like anything available at retail from your pic. It looks like a slight toe curve with a bit of loft, something that nobody makes. Then again, it looks like the pic is from behind the blade and the face is closed down.

hey Chadd, i tried to take another pic....not really sure what angle i should take it from

Try taking it from the top of the shaft (showing the shaft).

Not a Forsberg that's for sure. Yes they are one of the straigher curves out there, they don't have that bend and twist on the toe.

First one that comes to mind is the Iginla curve because of the closed face. Is the blade damaged such that you couldn't use it to order a custom curve?

Yes i also thought of the iginla when i saw the picture.. The picture looks like a bit more of a toe curve but that could also be because of the angle

I was looking at warriors curves and Smyth's curve looks pretty close just the curve isn't as close to the toe. A lot closer than some of this Draper and Weight stuff. I mean come on the Weight is a heel curve. Click here a kovalchuk pro stock toe curve. I have one of these even though I don't like it (I don't use toe curves) it's a toe curve and is a bit open, but it's a much bigger curve. You might want to just start looking on ebay pro stock sticks for toe curves, there should be something close.

the 2nd(I forget what the first one was) koho Jagr was a deep heel curve with a closed face.

Retail curves just don't come that flat. Closest you will find is a Forsberg/Modano and that really isn't that close. If you go with one of the retail "toe" curves they will be too big and too open. But that's just my opinion.

ah there is no shaft left, it didn't break on the blade it broke about 1/4 of the way up the shaft.

the blade isnt damaged at all....i believe there was a thread on sherwood or christian customs...but im scared of the pricing haha

sherwood, tps and christian are the best companies for custom wood blades/sticks and it's affordable.

Or you can go with a SWD RM19, but that will be pricey(all top of the line OPS are pricey). Depending on how serious you are with hockey it may or may not be worth it.

I play year round in the ASHL league but I'm just a career rec leaguer :P but I do really like this curve :( so....I might consider a custom blade, haven't used wood in a while, might be good to try again too :)

added another pic i found off google showing the shaft

after looking at the second pic you might be able to get away with an Iginla or Forsberg/Modano, it's kind of inbetween the two. Go to your LHS and look at them both and consider that the Iginla is a closed face and that blade appears to be a neutral face. Mind you it's hard to tell in pictures but that's my take of the blade.

I remember seeing the second curve on EBAY as a Pro stock. I love the curve but I'm a righty. In a perfect world this would be a right handed stick with a 5 lie and a 100 flex. Oh and polar fibre grip.
