I got pics of Lidstrom and the P91 if you really wanted...

I'd add that the Lidstrom got a rocker on it too, kinda funky at first but I love it now.

If only I could get a Lidstrom with a rounded toe. Any easily available prostock curve that fits that bill?

The stock p106 is really close and has a rounded toe. The blade is a touch shorter too (which I like.. blade feels stiffer). Thats what I have been using coming off of the Lindstrom (its the closest I could find on my xxx lite.)

Tucker/Perry has a really fat toe but it isn't squared off. If you want a really rounded off toe, then the P106 is a good choice.

I found my p106 to be flatter than the Lidstrom....but granted it is a wood blade. I wound up heating it and bending it myself to get it closer to the Lidstrom.

But like Chadd says, the Perry isn't really square or round, but the curve seems closer to Lidstrom out of the packaging....this is a woodie also so who knows.

Try a P32 rbk. It is kind of square but not as bad as a lidsrtrom , and it's really a great pattern. I'm coming form a lidstrom and love it.

the p106 is close to the lidstrom? i've only seen the p106 in passing at the LHS, but it seemed like it was alot more closed of a face than the wide open liddy. is that not the case?

Oh yeah, I'd agree with that too in addition to my other post. Had a lesser curve and was less open so I modified that too and cranked it open a bit.

Define "close". Is it a clone? No. Is it a heel curve with some loft? Yes.

yeah, you're right its all relative. and i'm also going from memory because i've never actually owned either. i just remember looking at the p106 and thinking "i'd give that a shot", as opposed to seeing the wedge on the liddy and thinking "thats too much for me".

The Lindstrom curve is a lot of blade. Compared to my p106, its about 1/2 inch longer.. thats not even taking in the fact that Lindstrom is a VERY square toe. This give it the feel of being more of a wedge than it is (though it is a very open face). If the p106 was a square toe and a little longer, they would almost be identical.

Added instead of edit.

Actually, looking at it. My Lindstrom is almost a full inch longer than my p106. Both are senior blades.

The CCM retail Lecavalier/CCM Pro stock V16 curve should fit the bill.

So the P91 is kind of like the Lidstrom, P92 is Sakic, right?

I apologize for the stupid question, but I'm hopefully getting another one of those clearance Endures if they have a P92.

No, the P91 is very similar to Easton's Drury. The P91A is an exact clone of the Drury. The only thing that the Lidstrom and the P91 have is that they are both heels.

The P92 is like the Sakic but has a slightly higher lie (Sakic is 5.5 and P92 is 6). It sounds like the P92 is more of what you want.

Most of this info is in the Pattern DB.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I knew the P91A was the Drury clone, didn't know what the P91 was. P92 sounds like what I'm after.
