This site has given me the motivation to buy gears, especially NICE gears :P I always feel bad when I buy equipment that are probably too nice for the level of hockey I play. However, I feel less guilty when I see guys here with like 5 pairs of brand new gloves and 20 OPS sticks.

Haha it's so hard not to lust over all of the equipment discussed here. But honestly this site has already helped me with some choices, and I am assumming there is more to come.

It's tough going on product descriptions or limited supply at your LHS and hoping that the one of maybe two guys that know anything happens to be working there... MSH gives you a resource with more information at your fingertips than you could ever hope to get from a salesman. Not only that but it's a resource with fellow hockey players, as opposed to a board full of people that have never played the game that pretty much talk out of their ass. *cough*HFBoards*cough*

MSH is great because outside of the wealth of information, its member base is very much a microcosm of the real world. You have the governing body (mods), some intellectuals, and many morons. All in all it makes for a diverse, entertaining group of people to shoot the shit with.

i still remember the first day i found this site, forgot to sign up and left. oh boy i dont even remember how long it took for me too find the site again, but it was well worth it. this site has litreally changed the way i think about hockey in general, not just gear. its almost litterally like crack. Agreed. No matter what it is, someone has tried it before you and some of them are probably on MSH.

And no matter how much you know, someone is going to know more... and again, one of them is probably on MSH(and probably named JR, SRI or Chadd).
