I was just going to say something about how that could become a real life story haha :)

I hope his ass gets put away, but I don't foresee that happening.

I think he has a good chance. At least one of the charges carries a minimum sentence and I can't see how the "Bad Newz" guys won't roll over on him.

Mike and Marcus might very well someday find themselves in the same pen; if that were to ever become the case, they would cease being the "Vick brothers" and instead become the "Vicky sisters."

...and that would still be too good for them.

Well hell's bells, apparently the commish is pussing out and letting Vick play. He should be sitting right by Pacman.

The NFL didn't sell millions of pacman jerseys.

He wasn't even the best QB on his team till they traded said QB to Houston.

He's a running back with a cannon for an arm, too bad he can't hit the broad side of a barn. The Falcons will win more without him.

The Michael Vick dogfighting case made its way to the floor of the U.S. Senate Thursday when its most senior member publicly declared his outrage, saying he's witnessed one execution but wouldn't mind seeing another "if it involves this cruel, sadistic, cannibalistic business of training innocent, vulnerable creatures to kill."
The strong words from Sen. Robert Byrd, D-WV, widely known for his devotion to animals...

This is the same Robert Byrd who was a member of the KKK

In 1942, 24 year-old Byrd joined the Ku Klux Klan, which he had seen holding parades in Matoaka, West Virginia, as a child. Byrd was unanimously elected to be the leader, known as the Exalted Cyclops, of his local chapter.

Whoa, we have a senator that was ex-KKK? How does he get in office

I'm amazed at the people this country votes into office. A former Klansman isn't even the most objectionable example- Ted Kennedy continues to have a job decades after murdering a women.

This guy makes OJ, Chris Benoit, and Mike Tyson look like role models.

Uhhhh, Benoit and OJ brutally murdered women and children. While loathsome, the Vick case is not worse than your fist two examples.

Yeah, I suppose you're right. However OJ was innocent(lol), and Benoit had roid rage? Let's not argue, all of the aforementioned people should be removed from the planet.

One could argue that a long term business of training animals to kill each other is worse than one-time incidents of rage. Personally, I think it just shows that some really fucked up people get famous.

You almost have to be screwed up to get famous these days(i.e. Paris Hilton). Sane, normal people just aren't interesting enough.

I personally would like to have seen the backlash and criticism held off till after the trial and or a conviction. Yes Vick did own the house and have a legitimate dog breeding and his cousin for the most part was running both of them. If I own a house and rent it out and someone sells drugs in that house, I as the owner am not responsible for what's going on there. I think this has more to do with PR for P.E.T.A. and the new NFL Commissioner than it does about what Vick has been charged with. Where is P.E.T.A. at the horse tracks when these horses are forced to breed and run for gambling reasons, where are they when the horses break their legs and are put down on the track. What about the same with greyhound races, when the dogs retire they have no quality of life, most have issues with just walking and they are forced to breed. Not saying that what Vick is doing right I'm just saying NONE Of this is balanced. PacMan Jones was in a shooting where someone lost their life, Ray Lewis was seen beating a man with several other people, that same man was found stabbed to death hours later... and.... Ray and his friends "Threw their clothes out because they were dirty". Michael Irving threw parties with hookers and threw kilo's of cocaine at them and Ray Carutewth or however you spell his named killed his wife, none of these things got the media coverage that this is getting... and that's just sad.

1. Virginia law states that if you OWN a property that dog fighting is held at, YOU are liable for charges, so Vick as the owner, is responsible.

2. This has nothing to do with PETA or the NFL. These charges were a result of Vicks cousin being caught with weed, then the dogfighting was discovered when they serve a search warrant on the property.

3. The Feds took this from the state because he allegedy transported dogs and equipment across state lines making it a federal offence

4. Vick was named 51 times in an 18 page indictment, which is horrible to try read.

5. Peta's campaign on horseracing, calling it a "cruel industry"

6. Peta's campaign on greyhound racing "death in the fast lane"

7. Innocent until proven guilty applies only in a court of law, not the court of public opinion.

8. When Vick bought the property, it was just a plot of land, he built the house, kennels, yard blocked from public view etc.

9. You should try using paragraphs, it's fun.

10. This is 6 years of documentation of training one dog to rip the neck of another until it dies or collapses, and if they lose and live, they spray a hose on them to wet them, and electrocute them, or shoot them, or slam them against the ground until they are dead. This is not a once off incident outside a nightclub, this is repeat pattern ritual torture behaviour
