Synergy Socks

Recommended Posts

Does any company make a sock similar to the Synergy Sock? I like them because they are so thin and have the wicking material (I think), but I don't like the $10.00/pair price tag. Any ideas? Does Wigwam or anyone make something exactly the same or similar?

Thanks

I've found the synergy socks at around 4 dollars a pair at MC sports during the off-season. Your mileage may vary depending on your, well, mileage from MC sports.

Go barefoot in your skates. I made the switch to barefoot about 2 years ago and you can really feel the skate better, and I feel as though my feet are really locked in there as opposed to sliding around a touch.

Don't go barefoot... its hard on your skates. It will cause them to break down faster. Not to mention growth of more bacteria, risk of staph infection, and keeping your skate sharpener happy. You can smell a barefoot skater coming from a long way away.

Exactly. Think about how wet your socks are from sweat after you skate. If your socks didn't soak that up your skates would have and that moisture, especially with all of the salt from your sweat, will make your skates break down much faster. That little bit of extra sock material makes a big difference. I just love how people can have no problem paying $400+ for skates but don't want to pay $8-10 for a pair of skate socks.

I have no issues paying, and I generally do...but it sucks consdiering I don't make much money and got other things to pay for. I'd expect the stuff to last a while, but I just used my Synergy socks like 3 times and they are fraying and look to wear out fast. I know it's a performance prodcut, but I'd still like to have it last more than 10 ice times.

maybe you got a bad pair. I got some of these and have used them in about 10 games and they're still in good shape. Well, I guess "good shape" means they aren't falling apart but I really don't expect them to last any great length of time. its hockey, you know how hard it is on equipment, especially a thin little sock.

I just got a pair of bauer socks from HG when I ordered my pulse. VERY thin socks, not bad. I've only used them 3 times soo far but so far soo good.

I'm guessing you got a bum pair. I have sold hundreds of these in my shop and have never had anyone bring them back. If they have a history of not holding up well, nobody's told me. Maybe the material got snagged on something which made it start to fray?

i can't find a six pack on ebay :(

One just expired earlier last morning, so I was assuming that there'd be more auctions. At least one guy on here got a 6 pack for around 15 dollars on ebay.

I've had excellent luck with the UA socks. The Mrs. picked up a 3 pack last year, they are all still going strong.
