Some little kid in a hospital is going to love Video Poker!!

Pediatrics' upper age limit is anywhere between 14 and 21, depending on a bunch of jazz.

I wanted to get a variety in case they all went to the same place so the kids could trade after they get bored.

Habs21, it's the thought that counts. All of the games I bought were between $5 and $20. I'll get to the post office as soon as the plow makes another pass down my road. :D

even if you don't have a friend or relative i'm sure you can find someone on the boards that would help you, all they would have to do is re-address it and drop it at the post office. Amazon is probably the best bet, except sometimes all the items don't come at once which may be confusing for easton. If you choose amazon you may want to either buy a few things from the same seller, or just one expensive item.

Video Poker is cool. I sent Little Mermaid, Cars, Dora the Explorer, Marvel Action, Winnie the Pooh, and Diego! K B Toys had a 20% off sale so I ended up with 9 toys! Its all about helping the kids. The S17 is the cherry on top for us. I think the other vendors should do this too. It is a total win-win for everyone.

Was at the LHS and they had their new S17 ($205/215) and SC6 ($89/99) sticks in. I love the feel of the S17, I'm really excited to get one from the toy drive. Not too boxy, not concave, just right. Felt light, but didn't have that "woah too light!" feel that I got when I first picked up an original Stealth. Maybe I've just been weened off tank sticks too long.

Grip was the typical Easton tacky topcoat. Still not a fan of it, I prefer textured shafts.

The blades seem paper thin too, I'd like to hear how they hold up.

SC6 felt weird. I expected it to be a bit below the ST and better than the 300/350, but it felt worse than expected. Blade heavy (not as bad as a 7k though) and a really boxy shaft. Thought it was the Stealth SC6, not the Synergy SC6? I didn't go grab a 300 to compare the two though, so I could be way off between those, but I thought it was well below the ST.

CNT Stealths were on clearance for $150/160, pretty good seeing as the big e-tailers are only 20-30 less.

Anybody have an idea if the Easton crew are cooking up a texture shaft for the future? Someone send them a can of the spray-on polarfibre and tell them to put that on as an alternate grip (green graphics perhaps?).

Z-tac is strictly on pro stocks, and on the blade only. Lindros was the only exception, but he was using an Inno 1100 polarfibre with Vapor XXX Lite graphics.

I finally got mine from Great Skate today. It's unbelievable to say the least. I love the balance and the feel, as well as the stiffness. I heard many people were complaining they're too whippy so I decided to get one. I normally use an 85 flex and this comes dang close after a 3 inch cut. I honestly think this blows my XXX lite away in terms of feel and kick. 2 more coming from the toy drive:)

It should be fine in one package as long as you have the receipt and specify that you have enough for 2 S17s.

Yeah that's what I did, and make sure you request LH/RH grip/no grip and curve.

On a side note, HKYGURU posted today:

Hello!

A special holiday thank you to all that have inquired and those who have found the time to send in toys for these two charitable orgainzations... There has only been 1 person thus far that failed to heed the NO Styrofoam Peanut Rule. So thanks to those that have used the recycleables to stuff the boxes. I am going to try to start sending out the helmets early next week tothose who have qualified. It may be possible to get a few twigs out as well. Just looking into perhaps sending Pro Stock as an added bonus.

...

Keep the gifts coming! Please!

Happy Holidays and be healthy!

What do you guys think about prostock S17's? It might be too early to ask but what do we know about prostock S17's? Are they any stiffer or better than retail S17's?

Who cares, beggars can't be choosers.

Precisely...

If you think I'm whining, I'm not. Just simply asking what the differences are. The toy drive is for a great cause and in return we get an excellent stick from one of the best stick manufactures in the game. So back to my question... What are the differences with Prostock S17's? He states prostock as a "bonus", so what is better about it? It's curiosity more than anything.

Without specifying what pro's pattern you want, it isn't better in this case. It's still a good stick for a good cause and price, but you could use and want a heel curve but get some fugly toe/mid curve that's tits on a bull. If that happens, I'm sure it'll end up in the sell forum or on eBay because that's par for the course with participants.

Well they did ask to specify "grip or non-grip in Sakic, Forberg, Lidstrom, Drury, Iginla pattern" so I assume they are prostocks in those retail patterns? Does that make any sense?

Yes and no. If that's true, good news for those who like Drury since that's a popular pro pattern but then again Easton has the right to send you whatever stick they have around. That's bad news for the Internet as I'm sure there will be a shit-ton of people who'd post and complain about not getting the curve and/or flex they wanted.

Your flex concerns regarding your tester stick are probably correct. Any stick that is oval or partially so in a flex area will probably feel stiffer than a boxy stick. The one time I ever gave oval a shot was with the Christian Duralites and while they were OK, they sure as hell felt strange in flex. The two hardest shooting sticks I have ever come across are xn10 and novius. If anyone ever churned out a stick using the xn10 materials/taper combined with the asymmetric flex and managed to keep torque down it would be ridiculously great.
