I have Eagle x80's with goatskin palms, and I love them, but the best bang for the buck glove is probably the Mission M-1. The 2004's are nice for $99, and you can find the 2003's for like $60-$70. I am finding myself falling in love with a lot of missions protective equipment. Everything seems to have a real nice cost/performance ratio.

Check out Sande MaxQ's. They have them for $143.25 CDN total shipped to the US at Twister's AAA Hockey shop. I can give you the email address if you want. Not sure what colors they have left, though. I'm pretty sure they have all black if you want that. They are great gloves btw. I don't think they have a website though.

i dont know about the states, but here in canada wher i live, my hgt's were 179.99 cdn, which is a little pricey (x50's were 189.99)...although i did mine for about 120 i think with a trade in on my old ultra lite pros

I don't think anything even comes close to the vapor xv glove at $80 usd. It in itself is an awesome glove but for $80? Forget about it.

yea, i tried both the xx's and the xv's at my lhs today, and i think given the choice, i would take the xv's...only $120 cdn too...i find the palms better on them than the xx's

I'd have to agree with that, assuming they are durable over the long term.

I would have to agree. I love my Mission M-1s. I got them for $70 off Perani's and they have been nothing but awesome. I just got through an entire season with them and they have absolutely no wear.

yea, i thought the m-1s were pretty nice except i hated the bulkiness of the index fingers...but they've changed that on this yrs models, havent they?

after using my hgt's for a while now with the tapered fingers, i find most of the other gloves out there have too big of fingers and i cant close my hand right lol

Dont you have a pro model?

And ya, the XV's are real nice for the $ as are the M-1's, they are cheap at like someone said like $70, but personally, i'd go with XV's.

Once again, Vapor XV gloves take the reign on this one. They are the best feeling gloves for $100 PERIOD. They have the flexibility of Eagles, they break in after 2 times of playing with them, the cuff feels like there is nothing there, super mobile, and so far they have come through some rough games unscathed. Also I just love the tighter fitting glove, and I haven't had sore hands yet using them. Good stuff :)

They sure have reduced the bulkiness. IMO, that was their big downfall in the past.

I agree with every nomination for XV. Ive only used 3 different gloves in my short time as a forward. Of the M-1s, TPS Bionics and XVs. The XVs take the cake, eat it and go for seconds in every category. The M-1s arent a bad glove either if you can get them at or around XV prices.I bought 2 extra pairs of XVs as well, so I think I'll be using this glove for a great while until I find something BETTER for the price.

I got some Hespeler Fat Cufs for $50 canadian, they're pretty good mobility-wise. Plus they were cheap.

I loved the Fat Cuffs, the palm is best. It gets crusty but still it shows no sign of wear. The cool max lining in mine was awesome and the ventalation was great too. I like the loose fit and the best thing about it is its price tag.

Hespeler Classics. They're from a few years ago and you can pick them up for around $70 now at some online shops, Peranis, 1800Faceoff.com, ect. I paid twice that amount for them and loved them.
