Allsmokenopancake 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2007 I heard that a week or two ago, he came home to find a knife sitting on his bed. Not positive if its true though. His house was broken into 8 days before the shooting. He had permission to leave training with the skins to go take care of it.While it looked like a burglary, nothing was taken, and a kitchen knife was left on the bed in his room. The police have not said it, but it looks now like that was a threat
RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted November 28, 2007 How widely reported was it that he wasn't with the team while he nursed his knee injury?I wonder if the killer knew that he'd be there or was his family the real target.

ashtonhutch05 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2007 This really hits hard for me. I'm a huge UM fan. Go ahead and hate. But he is one of my favorite players, and he hadn't even gotten into his prime. He's only like a 2-4 year vet. But knowing Miami's players and the entire football program's reputation, it will probably be handled if the killer is found out. All of the thugs from there won't have any of that. And, knowing UM's reputation as I said above, Sean probably was mixed up with something he shouldn't have been. Now don't get me wrong, I love UM football for it's talent and swagger, but having a history of thugs there is kind of intimidating, and earns a certain type of respect. However, even though it is different, and has sort of an edge, it is also kind of embarrassing. I mean just look at all of the things just from recent memory. Brandon Merriwether, Free Safety, now with the Patriots, was with another DB from Miami, and was shot at, and he proceeded to shoot back some time ago. Ray Lewis, was accused of a double homicide. Some former players, Including Merriwether, and fellow 1st rounder TE Greg Olsen and others fromt he team, recored an infamous rap song about their "7th Floor Crew". The FIU Brawl Brian Pata's shooting to death. Michael Irvin's drug issues. Sean Taylors spitting incident, and weapons charges. Kellen Winslow Jr's character issues and motorcycle accident. The list just goes on and on. I just don't know what to say anymore.....oh, and another disappointing UM season. Just great.

JR Boucicaut 3802 Report post Posted December 3, 2007 Didn't watch the game (working) but reading the articles. Very nice gesture lining up 10 on the opening play.
LkptTiger 1 Report post Posted December 3, 2007 ...I thought it would have been nicer if Edwards would have taken a knee on the play. Picking-up 20+ on a play when the other team is making themselves vulnerable by honoring a teammate was a little much, if you ask me. I realize we're talking about professional sports here, and every snap counts - but c'mon, neither team is going to make the postseason at this point.
