Toe Curve?

I'm using a Corey Perry R8 which has IMO the perfect curve for stickhandling. Problem is im on my last OPS. Question is are there any Retail patterns even close? It is a medium length Toe curve, round toe, 6 lie. I have yet to find anything really close to that. I'll try to get a picture of it up later on today. I cant find any Pro Stocks online that would compare. Any ideas?

Could just be the angle, but Krev's pic looks more like a mid than a toe. I'm thinking Nash/Recchi/Messier/Iginla type. Or, go big curve/open with a Sakic?

Mid-toe, you'd have to compromise. You can get a Montreal Euro in a 6 lie, which is an open mid-toe with a round/square (between them) toe. Smyth would be a bigger curve and too low. P88 wouldn't be out towards the toe as much, and a bit bigger curve. I'd probably start there.

don't warrior blades come in multiple lies now? if they do, maybe a 6 lie smyth? could be too much toe though

Can you get them in any lie? The Smyth would be perfect in a 6+ lie.

In theory, according to the Warrior website, you can indeed get a few of the Warrior curves in a few different lie angles. The trick is that most retailers do not stock the same curve in different lies...usually they only stock one lie for each curve. And most online retailers don't even give you an option for which lie you want when you order.

So, although it is theoretically possible, the "real-world" availability aspect is tricky to navigate. Hopefully Warrior and their retailers will get better about this in the future.

What is the actual lie on the Smyth Warrior? It says 5, but aren't the Warrior lie's off by a bit?

P14 Is the closest i can think of,

Yea...That's the curve I was thinkin of until he said he didn't want a square toe. Here is a picture of the P14 I had, but it doesn't do much justice. Its different in real life.

edit: After seeing another pic of it on patterndb it's not really what i'm looking for. Definately too square. I'm thinking i'll have to get lucky with a pro stock. Some pics of Bauers p92 seem to have a nice toe on it, others are not as impressive.

If you like the P92, Easton Sakic/TPS Nash... etc. the pattern DB on this site will give you all the curves close the P92.

I am on the verge of ordering a bunch of Patrick Sharps Vapor XXXLites. The LHS said it was a Toe Curve with a rounded toe, 6 lie. Anyone seen his sticks in person?

I had a Sharp Dolomite prostock. It was a mid-toe curve, and the lie was 6.5-7.

Thanks Remman, I really appreciate you posting those links for me. The first one doesn't seem like much of a toe curve at all. The second isn't too bad, although I was hoping for more of a toe. I wonder why more players don't have more severe toe curves. Once you learn how to shoot with them you can stick handle like no other.

Personal preference?

Contact TBLfan, he was recently on the prowl for toe-hooks and he uses 6 lie sticks, so he might have a few names in mind for you to check out. Check out his Kovalev pro stocks in the Warrior blade thread.

Find any pro-stock return for Jason Marshall. It's basically a Shanny clone with not quite as much of a break (closer to 1/2 than 5/8's).
