I think hes overrated too. I seen him play hockey in Jr A and sure he was pretty good, but its not like hes ever going to make it anywhere. I think just about any decent hockey player would look good if they took videos of themselves playing, cut out the parts where there not scoring and then posted them on the internet. I only played roller hockey once and I found for me the moves were way easier.

He's not overrated at all. He's dominant at what he does and has some of the most unreal hands in the game. All of this "he'll get killed in ice" crap I'm reading reminds me of the kids that ran show in squirts, then got chirped that "they'll get killed when there is checking". He's primarily a roller hockey player, and a damn good one.

99.9% of you Haters have never played with, aganist, or seen in person Itan play..In roller the kid can hands down take a game over himself anywhere aganist anybody....The guy started with Roller and made the transistion to ice in a shorter time than again 99.9% of the people here actually could at a higher level than 99.9% of us here have or ever will....Why dont we just go back to "what color looks best for my stick discussions" they are way more important right?

Those are reserved for PHEW. I think people are just sick of everyone outside of MSH going on about how this kid they saw dangle is definitely going to the show. Or the kid that did that stupid pickup the puck and twirl to the back of the net lacrosse move is going to the show. So regardless of how good Itan is, people are going to immediately assume it's just another person who had some sweet hands that is getting his tires pumped by some fanboys. I'd relax, because honestly until he makes it to the show there are a tonne of really good hockey players who could out skate and out play him. Is he better than 90% of us on here? Probably. But he isn't a Sidney Crosby, and even if he was people would just hate more.

i'll speak my view, not looking to start an argument but i feel like i should explain my statement. To me he's a great player, definitely better than i ever will hope to be, yes, maybe he can take a roller game by himself but in my view the roller community talent is on a lesser degree of ice players (again not pointing fingers and not saying how great i am, just how i view it), making competition for him less of a challenge, i also think he would only ever be a great roller player and compared to what other people say he'll be (and by his attitude what he think he'll be)IMO that makes him overrrated

I was misunderstood, I completely agree he isent going to make it to the NHL...I would even say he is a sligthly above average ice player, nothing special on ice...I ment he is an outstanding roller player...I dont even want to get into the skill set of ice to inline players, two diffrent sports...I know guys that are great at one and average in the other...Ice players always have an always will think inline is a joke and thats fine, its only because they cant play inline well...lol j/k

Personally, I think Itan is amazing. However, you need to realize that people are entilted to their own opinions

is he endorsed by reebok?

I'll admit it. I've played roller, whether competitively or not, for probably close to 14 years. I've played ice for ten. I still prefer roller hockey to ice hockey. The competition is less of a challenge than ice because, well, it's nowhere close to as physical as ice hockey is. Most moves I make in roller hockey, I never would even try in ice hockey because I'm two completely different players. I'm a finesse player in roller hockey, and I love deking. Ice hockey, I'm more of a set-up man. I never deke unless I'm on a breakaway. This is why Itan thrives at roller. It simply isn't physical

I dont know this guy, I dont play roller hockey, and Ive only seen his online video. With that in Mind, I play against Former ECHL guys every week. For him to be able to compete at their level and in the USHL (I realize his numbers werent awesome) really goes to show how skilled he is. Look at it this way, how many guys on this forum were ever paid to play? I know he got cut from the ECHL, but to call the guy "slightly above average" is a vast understatement.

I watched Itan the first year he played ice hockey when he played Jr A in Charlottetown and Yarmouth. I've yet to see someone with better puck handling (or dangling), skills. His positioning was kind of weak and he would lose every battle along the boards, but if he ever got the chance in open ice with the puck he'd go around a few guys and score a nice goal. Great vision and puck control but he most likely won't make it to the show. On a side note that doesnt mean roller players can't convert to ice hockey like a lot of guys think....bobby ryan

I seen him play .. hes not amazing. Hes a sick roller hockey player and a decent hockey player, but hes not Jesus of hockey or the next Ovechkin by any standards. The way people talk of him, he must be the greatest hockey player alive.

I see alot of kids doing the same thing out on the rink these days(john schiavo-u-tube)as for roller guys playing in the NHL.sure there are a few out there, they just dont bring it up.also alot of kids these days are playing both ice and inline so to see more roller guys in the NHL might happen more in the future.roller guys have the skill just need to bring the physical game along with it.

Guy is the best roller player i have ever seen, and a pretty good ice player. I dont think anyone was ever saying he will be ovechkin or crosby. Infact id be shocked if he ever made it to the AHL level. But, the dude is a good hockey player, and a lot better than i could hope to be. I smell some jealousy in here.

I believe he tried (and scored) a michigan in a finals game for pama at narch against the mudcats and someone took a swing at him in the end game hand shake i'm to understand. The coach wouldnt let him back on the rink so they wouldnt take a run at him.

the Mudcats are probly the dirtiest pro team I have seen play (besides the joke of a team out of Detroit the "demolition" in the full check league..they were just looking to fight the whole time) and we will see how the Mudcats play coming up this month at NARCH nationals. I have a feeling they wont perform as well and expect to see some antics through out the tourney.

Some roller hockey players might have heard of this guy. Sickest dangler I've ever seen. He started playing ice hockey three years go , but before that he was a roller hockey player. He is playing in the MJAHL right now for the Yarmouth Mariners, but he used to play for the Charlottetown Abbies in PEI. (My hometown)before he was traded , anyways I think this guy is definetly going to the show, the moves he pulls are nuts. Check this out , it's not the best quality but I think you catch my drift, if you haven't heard of him before, then I would say his name will come up sometime soon.

I worked/coached/played in the TOHRS winter nattys at dumars this Feb. He is a good player that is for sure...he played a little ECHL but unfortunately he is a little too small for that league. Ice is much different than roller (played ice for 30yrs..including jr;s/college/semi's and have converted to pro roller def know the ins and outs of both sides) it is so much more dialed down even in the "pro div" more setup and execution. On the other hand his teammate Osterkamp is better overall in my opinion..but Itan has game. I watched him put on a little skill demo at 12:30am while no one was at the rink and it was just him with his asst. coach and their goalie (who is super good also). He is a good kid and his brother can also play the game pretty darn well.

seems to me like this kid should have hooked up with an agent a LONG time ago. all his bouncing around that I've read about in this thread likely cost him some decent income opportunities.
