Your first love... the curve of your choice

Former NBH Pronger curve (found on the XX OPS)

Square toe, perfect opening, can wire any shot anywhere with that curve. The OPS lasted only 4 months. :(

used the koho Jagr stick, then went to the crossover, loved the TPS crossfire (I think) woodie blades with the Brendl curve. used datsyuk a couple years ago and fell in love. ive basically been bouncing off all kinds of curves that i find appealing. If i think the curve "looks" ugly, then im not gonna use it.

Chalk up another one for the Yzerhook. Then went to a Shannahan, Forsberg/Modano, Iggy, and finally a Lindros. I was never a fan of the open face.

anyone know what current curve is similar to the old Neely?

I used the canadian neely in junior, but since then I haven't seen one around and I can't remember what it looked like. I found the pic that was posted. Other than it being a Heel I cant compare.

I had a Cliff Ronning Sherwood that I saw at a garage sale and played street hockey with it until the blade was splinters. Probably similar to an Iginla/Heatley but very neutral faced.

My other favourite was my own curve in grade 3 P.E. Take foot, step on mylec blade, and give it a nice deep 3 inch curve.

I use the Forsberg, PM9, Tkachuk, Federov, etc. I would really like to try a toe curve though. I wish somebody made a pattern that was pretty much exactly like the PM9 but toe instead of mid-heel.

This is strictly a PP question... what some people like may not appeal to others

Still go back and forth between a Forsberg and Iginla...would like them to have some kind of offspring. Currently using a Weight which is kind of a nice compromise.

Retail, I think the closest you'll find is a Bauer P106.

Montreal European, also used the old Easton Suter for a while in college when I couldn't get my hands on the Montreals.

Used to love the Lidstrom... because when you didnt know how to shoot, the puck still automatically went up top every time with that open toe.

Then moved to the Sakic... found it like a best of both worlds kind of thing.

Now use a Lindros... I rotate between a Lindros One90 and a Spyne Draper... and favor the Lindros alot more.

Smooth all the way through, love it.

Always thought I needed a curve to get anything done, so I moved from the TPS Sundin to the Wood Nash (bigger than the OPS Nash, which made for a disapointing R2) to a Gaborik. After a long time with great open ice shooting with Gabby, but no control in a game where I dont get as much time to shoot, obviously, I decided to find something I could actually stick handle with and recieve passes with. I went with a Heatley, a big departure, and was pleasantly surprised to find that If I actually used proper form on my wrist shot, I could still do most of the things ole gabby did for me . Since then I dont miss the hook but I am longing for loft, so I have a recchi thats itching for ice and a tip to check out the inno/warrior weight/vanek. Any other suggestions on a heatley with loft would be great.

Favorite retail curve for me is the Warrior Smyth. When I found out they are getting discontinued I grabbed as many of them as I can in RH. Should be set for at least a few years. :D Hopefully by then Warrior or another manufacturer will bring them back.
