I was thinking the same thing, either he bought that kid some pads we won't see til 2018 or that damn kipper is using some 1990's era pads with a conceiving paintjob. Of course it could never have just been a great shot, blame the equipment. See his segment last week about Bob Baun's gloves from the 60's, yeah I'm sure Ovechkin and Kovalev could dangle with 10lb gloves that are half way up their forearm.

He probably doesn't want to play in Europe, and he's just waiting for an offer. Most teams have projected tandems already, so it's more a case of waiting for someone to go down with injury or choke bigtime. He'd be fabulous insurance for a team getting itself ready for a playoff run without a reliable backup - they might even be willing to overpay him for the privilege, if the timing was right.

Hughson is brutal to my ears, he never shuts his yap. I've watched games that he has done and had no idea there was even a color guy in the booth.

Do you guys know if HNIC is going to be broadcast on the NHL Network this year?? Considering a switch to FIOS, but they don't have CBC.
