Pro Equipment Sales

So it looks like I'm going to be in NYC on draft day. I'm going to be in Queens so I gotta decide which draft party to attend.

Islanders or Devils. I'm in interested in blades, helmet and gloves. Maybe tall pants also.

Anyone get any suggestions on which of the 2 I should go to? thanks

can you try to go to both ?

Its not worth it. The colesiuem and the Rock are about a hour apart and driving on a Friday on LI is a hassle during the summer

1 hour apart on a friday night? not a chance. closer to 2 hours more likely.

What i was saying is that there a hour apart with no traffic, and if your from out of town and get lost the area around uniondale isn't the greatest and newark is not a place you want to get lost in either.

Getting to the Coliseum is a snap, couldn't imagine how you could get lost.

Last year I went to the Devils draft party and while I didn't check it out myself the part of the floor they had sectioned off for the equipment sale was a madhouse with an insanely long line to get in there.

getting there is easy but if someone was to get lost and they wind up in say elmont or something its not the best area

I took a look at the draft party pictures on the devils website, it was kind of funny with all those sticks lying in a heap. Just out of curiosity how much were they charging for those sticks and gloves ?

If you're trying to get to the Coliseum and end up all the way down in Elmont, you deserve anything that comes your way.

$50 for sticks $65 for unused gloves and $100 for GU Gloves

The Stars Warehouse Sale was extended Monday-Wednesday from 3PM - 7 PM. Don't know how much stuff is left though.

Yeah the Coliseum is plopped on a wide open area with acres of vacant land all around it - can't miss it.... isn't that right Mr. Wang? ;)

The Worcester Sharks sale is June 13.

Sharks Equipment Sale

Maybe I could get some Kyle McLaren gear, god knows there can't be much wear on them.

Whatever happened to McLaren? I always thought he was a pretty solid defensive defenceman, why did he get sent to minors?

Salary cap issues. I think he ended up being traded to Philly for a 7th round pick, but something happened with the trade where he had to stay in Worcester if I remember right. But I don't think he was playing much even in the AHL.

I went to a playoff game in Worcester and he looked awful. He looked very slow. He played very few games this year and I can't imagine he will play again next year.

I live right next to the Kings training facility and have inquired about an equipment sale, but haven't been able to get a solid answer yet. In the meantime, you can purchase some game/practice used stuff from lakingsstore.com, although there's not a whole lot of stock on there yet.
