Anyone figure out how to change the custom controls?

The computer trading is retarded. In one season they traded Kaberle for St. Louis, Hagman for Callahan, and Mayers for Comrie (who was leading the league in points before being traded. Once he got on the Leafs he got stuck on the third line behind Mats and myself and doesn't have any points.

The AI definitely needs a kick in the pants for 2010. I just passed the trade deadline and not one move was made the whole week prior. I'm tied for top scorer, 8 games away from hitting 75 played (NHL/AHL combined) and getting pro status.

Still a 77, my original overall rating, despite all of the upgrading I've been doing.

I also wish there was more animation and voicing in the game. For the goalies, it shows their height and weight but doesn't give any stats in the video, the shootout is the same every time with the home goalie skating to the net and flipping his mask back down over his head.

It just is already starting to feel like I'm playing the same game every time cause all you hear and see is the same stuff over and over and over.

Also, this has been bugging me. Whats that 'jet like' noise that is made every once in awhile when skating around.. anyone know what I'm talkin about?

I get alot of penalties for highsticks etc.

Slow breakout passes

I plain suck at breakaways

I created a player first then tried to make a goalie but because my player was right handed my goalie could only be a right handed catcher. - Theres probobly a way to change that but I couldn't find it.

I can't say I'm a fan of the game menu.

When re-watching my saved highlights I can only get it on a smallish view with no options to move the camera angle. - Any help?

No real "boost" button (not exactly true to real life I know but we don't all skate at one speed)

I agree that the trading is retarded. On mine, Ovechkin got traded for Eric Staal?!?! Also, I'm on the Rangers, and the GM traded Marc Staal for Vesa Toskala. Seriously. Vesa Toskala. To be the backup. A first pair was traded for a first-string goaltender, only to relegate him to the backup.

EA should do something about foolish trades like that.

Also, EA should REALLY program team's retired numbers into the game. When the Rangers got Toskala, he is wearing 35, and Voros is wearing 9, which is going to be retired this year as well. Instead of giving us 15 pair of skates to choose from, give us 10, and build the retired numbers in.

So i just finsihed my first season in the Pro's

so i finished year off with 135 points.100G 35 A and 8 pims

i think it's time to move up from Pro to the next level

all in 74 games

I've gotten a few tip goals (I play the screen/slot when the D has the puck) but I still don't have a goal registered under the "goal while in front of goalie" category. I don't know what that means, or how to get one.

I haven't kept up on the deals in my league but it sounds just as bad as the 2K baseball series trades. I'm just curious to see what contracts I'll be offered as I really don't like playing with Legwand.

I managed to get a 3 year deal 1 way contract, that probably means I'll be up for a while even if my stats drop.

I think I saw the question raised but didn't see an answer to it, but does the $$$ do anything? The only thing I'd be looking at/for is a one-way deal with a team that doesn't suck. I'm content with the Predators but it's not like I'd look away from a deal offered by a team with talent. I would hate to think that $$$ does nothing as it doesn't offer the WTF factor of signing with a shitty team.

apparently it doesn't matter how bad or how good you play you can still get traded haha

i play best on the 2nd line.. everytime i get promoted to top line i get demoted back to 2nd line and start scoring goals again

Same here, seems like the first line tries to pass to much and my teammates cough it up, second line im with a grinder that always steals the puck back. I just tell them to shoot and then i crash the net.

I still wish that be a pro had more. I remember previous games where you could set your ticket prices and all that kind of jazz, had to worry about your salary cap and everything. Is that in dynasty mode? Even in be a pro I wish you could look at that kind of stuff to see how much space each team is working with and everything like that.

Gotta love the pens trading my linemate dupuis for a no name person that they put on the farm team, then tell me about it after I've already played a game with my new linemates.. nice.

I was on the leafs and led the league in goals and was 2nd in points. The next season the leafs actually signed some decent players and I was 1st in goals and in points and we won the cup.. (BTW, I do not play every game I Sim games and usually play the 3rd period and sim a few games here and there and my brother plays with the same player). After the second season I was tired of being on the leafs considering they didnt have a lot of the good players and no goalie (Vesa was gone, Joesph retired, Poggie was gone). So I simmed the whole season. About 10 games in (I was leading the team in points) I was sent down to the marlies. I simmed the whole season there and finally was a FA. I got 2 offers each for 1 year 7 million, one from Toronto one from SJ (who is stacked in BAP) so I signed with SJ and they have started me down in the AHL. I have not started my season yet...

My goalie, I started on Grand Rapids. I started pretty bad but improved. I was trying to make the Redwings but they traded Hossa for DiPietro so the goalies in Grand Rapids were Howard, Conklin and myself with Detroit having Osgood and DiPietro so I played out the season in the AHL. At seasons end I got 4 offers, which I can not remember what teams but I signed with Tampa Bay. It was a 1 year deal, and Tampa only had 2 Goalies while the other offers were 3 years and the teams had 4 goalies

Man reading this makes me cant wait to get off work so i can go home and play. Im leading the AHL in points as a defenceman and just got called up to the flames.

One thing that pisses me off is the shit curves they give you to pick from.
