MLSman 22 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 Hell....I found more interest in those schnazzy TPS R8 pro lite gloves. Those are much nicer on that page.
Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 those are per the customers spec. did you notice they didn't offer them is SR sizes? kids nowadays love the obnoxious colours. while i do not agree with them PERSONALLY.... this sport is about what the kids want.Kids? Man the kids I coach wouldn't touch those! My GF on the other hand, she'd take 3 pairs if you made them in senior sizes. ;)
kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 They are in Sr. sizes per Giant.

Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 Leave it to Mission to make something like this. Maybe some roller hockey team with crazy colors will find these eventually?wait a minute- these are an SMU per the customers spec. that is a really weak a$ statement to say " leave it to Mission ". do you know what SMU is? if you had read any of the statements here... you would know that it was a Special Make Up.... per the customers spec.Sometimes the customer is wrong and they should be told as much. i am not going to tell a 12 year old he is wrong. after a certain age.... this sport is no longer about you or me ( over 18 ). hockey companies sell to kids.... who in turn whine/beg/blackmail their parents to buy them what they want. the good news about these gloves is they dont make them in your size AND you dont have to buy/wear them. Alexander Ovechkin is a pretty colorful guy..... are you going to tell him what to wear??? ON OR OFF THE ICE?That's great and all but those devalue the rest of the product in the eyes and minds of (many of) the people who buy the high end stuff. Those gloves just reinforce the negative opinion some people have of Mission, ensuring that a lot of people will continue to avoid even trying the product. There are a lot of markets where the prevailing opinion is "roller hockey" or "they don't make real hockey gear". Your company just gave those guys more ammo. It's one thing to fill a team order or if there is obvious demand, but these SMUs never seem to sell a whole lot until they get closed out. I know I'm not the target market for the gloves, but I do know something about what people want. We've been doing this for a while, even before MSH was born. I know I'm not the target market for the gloves, but I do know something about what people want. We've been doing this for a while, even before MSH was born.those attitudes are generally are what is bad for hockey-- NEGATIVITY. i cannot tell you how many times i have seen a kid with really flashy gloves or some other obnoxious piece of gear show up at the rink ( and the kid has some decent skill ) and when he starts to make the " real hockey guys " (... you know ICE guys ) look bad.... the ice guys resort to dirty play and cheap hockey.... because, everybody knows that Ice is superior to Roller and we're going to show those pukes how hockey is really played ( rolling eyes ). if the kid can stick handle in a phone booth and can play... why is it up to a certain crowd to tell them what is right and wrong? have you ever considered that some people are tired of being given three choices for colors??? have you considered that 90% of the time those three colors are Black, Black and Black??? you can have any color you want.... as long as it is black! this is almost as bad as Mike Milbury telling Ovechkin to get a haircut....OMG. look at foot ball shoes in Europe..... can you hear me now? the spirit in which Mission was born was to be more forward thinking and willing to try new things..... Black.... Black .... and Black..... it's been done before. there are about 4 of those SMUs that are pretty out there, but there are others that are pretty cool as well. either way you slice it..... Giant has accomplished EXACTLY what they want out of this.... TRAFFIC! MADE YOU LOOK!

TBLfan 25 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 I might not like the gloves, but I'm pretty sure that telling customers that they are wrong about wanting any product is not the right way to go.Especially customers ordering in BULK.IDK = 140+ pairs of glovesIron Mayhem = 140+ pairs of glovesKnight rider = 140+ pairs of glovesThe King = 140+ pairs of glovesGeneral Lee = 90+ pairs of glovesLike OMG = 170+ pairs of glovesLMAO = 170+ pairs of glovesIn total, over 1000 pairs of SMU gloves.
