My heel was swimming around in the RBK stock heel out of the box. These felt funky out of the box, but when I baked them and put them on, I got that WHOOSH sound/feel - and instant heel lock.

I remember you saying you felt this skate had a lot more volume to it then previous CCM offerings, however, you're saying with baking that this heel really does tighten up, or was your heel fit somewhat decent before baking?

D/A & C/A width has the same regular heelcup (A). To get the narrow C/AA heel, you'd have to go custom.

The V08 doesn't have the U foam but instead has a wicking liner.

New RBK, 08.

What foam is in the 08 skate? It felt like a memory foam of some sort...How different is it from the U+ in performance and feel? Other than being a different type or brand of foam..

These are the V6 not the V8. Interesting to note, they look nothing like the model V6 in the CCM catalog, CCM changed the outside look since the catalog was printed. I like the all-black new look.

Misunderstood. I posted these based on the look only. Not that they were the V08's. I think they look the bestof the new CCM bunch as well.

What is the volume in these like? Is it a deep or shallow skate? I have a high instep, and really need the volume. I know you have been skating the One95's how does it compare to the U+ in that regard?

its a huge volume skate, and i mean huge, most volume in a skate ive seen.

when i tie them up the top two ilets (sp?) end up about a centimeter apart, the boot basically wraps around your foot
