TPS Shafts

Recommended Posts

I've always preferred playing with 2-piece sticks and I've heard a few good things about TPS shafts. The shop that I work at doesn't carry any TPS products for some reason anymore but I'm wondering what you guys have heard about the higher end stuff? If you guys know any sites that carry a variety of them and could let me know, I would appreciate that. Thanks!

Alot of people here used to rave about the xn10 series shafts when TPS made them. I still have an R2 shaft that I used and it's holding up quite well

XN10 is legendary, but damn near impossible at this point to find. If you can wait...the new XN10 is on its way in a one piece. If two piece is a must, I have heard some good things on the R8 shaft...but it is a tapered shaft.

I agree. It was insanely light but having a $200 cdn pricetag at the time for a shaft was just way out of my budget (pre MSH). I've used an R8 ops and if the shaft is anything like it's ops counterpart then it's a good shaft. When my blade went I tried to salvage it but failed miserably <_<

I have had the R2XN10, RLXN10, and R8. I must say the R2XN10 was the best out of all of them but, they are all amazing shafts all three are worth every single cent I paid for them.

My favorite shooting TPS shaft is the R2 tapered, followed VERY closely by my Redlite XN10's (thank god I still have 4 of them) but I feel that the puck feel on the Redlite is better and then trailing them would be my R8 shafts. Out of current availability on shafts....I feel that the R8 is the best one out there.

All in all.....the Redlite is my favorite shaft that I have ever used.

Where can I get my greedy little hands on an r10?

To the OP: TPS shafts are the only ones Ive used in the past 8 years, from a tricore to the original redlight, to xn10's (even to this day) to adrenalines and the r8. Their product just does it for me (except the armor response...that thing was crap).

Would a R10 regular flex be too stiff?

Going with "overhyped." Liked the Rubber but the rest have been 'meh.' Except for the old CXS aluminums and graphite shafts, but that was all Fontaine.

I have to agree on this one...reminds me of how everyone wanted Innovative when they were had to find.

I liked the XN10 Redlite well enough, but wasn't a big standard taper guy. I'm using an R2 XN10 shaft right now and it has a nice kick while being really light, but it's an intermediate shaft so it's too whippy and small diameter.

I thought the R8 was a dog compared to the R2XN10.

For what it's worth, you can just pull the blade out of the XN10 if it breaks.

The R8 is no where near the R2XN10 but, it is still a good tapered shaft. It is actually one of the better ones Ive used out of the current offereings by most companys. Once I broke the last of my R2XN10s I had to find a replacement and the R8 is just about as good as it gets with all the tapered shafts out right now.

Too much for me, sorry man.

Anyone know where I can get just a shaft? Those out anywhere yet?
