the "pro shop" at my local rink is having an insane sale on Eagle gloves.

despite the fact that I didn't "need" them I purchased a pair of Eagle X-4 Flash gloves in a REALLY cool silvery blue for $35.

this pair will join my maroon Easton Airs which are on their last legs, my green Easton Airs and my Atlanta Thrashers colored MIAs.

this is my first pair of Eagles. I can't wait to try them out later this week! :)

actually I DO have 2 more pairs that I forgot about. a pair of maroon Easton synergy 500s that are just a wee bit too big and a pair of navy Easton Ultra Lights that I use for shooting on my backyard net.

My collection is 80+ pairs of gloves. I have been collecting gloves off ebay since 1998. I'm putting up some custom Eagle gloves from Little Caesars for the Show It Off thread now.

I honestly cant justify a reason for owning more than 2 pair in my present situation. An all black pair for pick up, and a pair that matches my team colors. Truth be told, I only NEED one pair....but I justify it to myself as having a "back-up" pair. I will only get another pair if I change teams/colors, or one wears out. Hard to spend money on something you really dont need when it could go into a 401k or 529....or even a nice night out with the family.....all about balance. But I still look at gloves online or TV and covet them.

I'm a woman but I only have 3-4 pairs of shoes. I have 5 pairs of gloves. I feel its always good to have 2+ because I play tournament weekends where you have 4 games and if I only used one pair, they would be tore up. I would be up to 10 pairs but I gave a couple away to people starting up.

I have a dozen or so, usually no more than two pair in rotation at any one time. I've been using my CP94s almost exclusively but it's just about time to send them out for new palms and modify the gussets to my specs. I may have to get some R8s in the meantime.
