i went to the pens vs. leafs game recently and malkin broke 3 of his bauer sticks in the first half of the game and a couple of them would have been really good scoring chances.

then when he came out in the next period he had an easton stick he used for a little while - it was yellow and black so i assume it was a easton stealth s11

i don't know if he used it for the rest of the game - but i thought it was funny that he did have backup sticks from another company considering he is a bauer man

The yellow and black easton could've been jordan staal's s17 that were yellow. He had the custom ones with the yellow instead of the red/blue in the finals and various times during the season.

I went to his hockey camp a number of times as a kid. Forget about nicest pro athlete, maybe one of the nicest guys I have ever met. sorry for the off topic comment.

With all the colour variances Easton have with each of their sticks as they are customised to match team colours, I think it's very surprising that they don't offer an ID program similar to the NBH one.

Phaneuf's custom green ST on page 30 looks awesome, I'm sure an ID prgram that allowed custom colours like that would be very successful.
