Down in the hosel/tenon area.

I knew it had to be something with the construction of the shaft, so I guess that's it. I suppose that shape will give the stick a higher kickpoint than the U+, if the octagonal shape stiffens it up near the hosel/tenon.

I know it's been asked before, but are there any updates on a release date, either Holiday season or after?

Why what? Why is Shane Doan a respectable figure, or why is he off CCM?

I dont want to get too far off this topic, as the rules here are dictated a certain way, however suffice it to say Shane Doan would give anyone the shirt off his back. I have met, and skated, with Shane Doan many times. Shane has a very deep and true moral base, and has genuine conviction in living his life the right way. As far as pro athletes go, he's a true role model in a sea of ego-maniacal, self absorbed, million dollar babies. He's done some nice things for me on a personal level. Hope that answers your question. I know that Defiant probably knows him well too.

As for him not using CCM, I have zero idea. Maybe his contract is up. It's just weird seeing him in anything but CCM. I have a few of his TPS sticks from a few years back when they tried to sign him. They were obviously only practice sticks, but it's still a unique thing to have if you are a Doaner fan. Now I have to make some calls to see if I can get any of his pro stock Warrior sticks. :) Forgot to mention...he's the last remaining Winnipeg Jet still with the organ-I-zation, so what's not to like?

With all the colour variances Easton have with each of their sticks as they are customised to match team colours, I think it's very surprising that they don't offer an ID program similar to the NBH one.

Phaneuf's custom green ST on page 30 looks awesome, I'm sure an ID prgram that allowed custom colours like that would be very successful.
