Helmet with good ventilation (not intake)

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a new helmet as the 5500 does not handle airflow at all

I've read how great the mission intake does with ventilation, but every helmet size I've tried on squeezes onto my temples

Any other suggestions?

I second the Easton S-17. Great fit and nice ventilation. The new CCM V-10 also a nicely ventilated helmet.

I know it's been dissed on here but I stand by my 8K, especially for wider heads, and it was miles beyond my 8500 in terms of airflow. That being said the best idea is to just try on as many as possible.

A few nods to the S-17, and I'll give one to the S9 as that is the helmet I have been wearing most recently and it is probably the best I have worn to date. Great fit and the air flow is good too.

He did. I personally thought the 9500 was too hot(when not in motion). I was constantly wiping sweat my my face with the 9500, not as bad as the 9K but sitting on the bench between shifts were bad.

I didn't think the 4500 was bad either. That's what I wore before the V10, and didn't have a problem with it at all.

I prefer the 8k over the S17 but the 8k cracked on me. The 8K seemed to breathe a lot better, bigger holes but I like how the S17 fits. If I had to go back and buy another 1 I would buy the 8K just for the ventilation.

How could the 4500 be better than the 5500 as to air flow ? Arent' they pretty much the same except for the foam ? 5500 is a little lighter, too.

if you like the VN liner and looking to save some money instead of getting s17 like a couple people mentioned go for the S9 easton in my opinion it is very comfy and ventilation is great.

A cage looks stupid with any helmet.

But that's besides the point right?

I have a fairly wide head myself, and I find the Eastons fit me well, as with the 8ks.
