Celebrations?

Recommended Posts

What is the craziest celebration you've done? What was the situation in the game?

I was in my second year peewee, (I don't really celebrate after goals) it was overtime in the semi final, game 1 best 2 out of 3 series. I was the big goal scorer on that team that year, and I got shadowed the whole game, he shut me down pretty well too, it was 2-2 and I had a goal. Our coach mixed up the lines and the other team got confused and put there shadow out at the wrong time. Next shift I went out, split the D and roofed it. I skated really fast to the boards and hung on the glass before my team tackled me down. (Game 2 I assisted it in overtime and the kid who scored did the boston sliiiide after skating for about 45 seconds).LoL

Well Ive one a couple of championships but the greatest one was in houseleague, it was the finals and the overtime was 5on5,4on4 and so on. It ended up going to 1on1 and the guy to go was me. Anyways I scored with 1 minute left and we won the championship. It was pretty sweet but all of the things i won were fun.

well, this isn't my celebration, but two guys on my team, whenever they scored they'd skate at each other and jumpe like 2 ft in the air at each other for the big hug and come tumbling down on the ice haha. it was good times

this was in roller, but it was the craziest celebration i've ever done. It was the championship of house roller. With 9 seconds left i found a puck on the doorstep and just slapped it in. I skated as fast as i could to my bench and flipped over the boards and landed on my back. I was too happy to feel any pain...

Needless to say about an hour after the game i was in quite alot of pain, and it hurt for about a week after that. It was definately worth it though.

No, I remember someone shooting top shelf, knocking the water bottle off the top of the net, skating towards it, taking a swig, and handing it back to the goalie. That was me :)

My occasion wasn't nearly as big as yours, but it was a tie game, 2-2. Someone was driving the left post, and I was at the right. He took the shot, it squirted out to me, and I just passed it through my legs (I was turning to go on the backhand, but changed my mind, so my back was to the crease), through my check, right back onto the dude's stick, and he shoved it in. Damn, I was jumpin up and down for quite a while...and I normally never celebrate, just skate away.

I don't do any crazy celebrations, but my brother (goalie) always does. One time he skated out to the blue line and did a front flip and actually landed on his skates. :o Sometimes he just skates out and does a belly flop onto the ice and just slides on his belly. It's pretty funny to watch.

Once i scored such an easy goal i just shrugged as if saying "WTF is wrong with that goalie?" I came down the wing and he just didnt back up and cover his angles. As a result i shot into an open net.

Whenever I hit the bottle, it explodes. It seems the caps can't handle the impact. I took a wrister from the blue line against a bad team and a defenseman reached out to glove it, the puck bounced off his wrist, over the goalie and into the net. I started laughing so hard I fell down. The bad part is it was right in front of their bench.

Well you can take a look at my signature to see what my "celebration" is. Hell, I think I've pumped my fist more on a good pass that leads to a goal versus myself scoring a goal.

Two hilarious ones that I've seen used (and eloquently described) by Scott Bokal, goalie for Team USA Inline while he was playing center in college....

1) Bow & Arrow: Using the stick as a bow and shooting an invisible arrow from it.

2) Deluxe Bow & Arrow: Pulling the invisible stick out of the invisible backpack, then shooting it. :D

EDIT: OK I did think of one "celebration" I did. Some friends of mine were watching the game from rinkside where there are elevated tables set up (you can see over the boards). I knew their table was pressed up against the glass/boards. I knew they had pitchers of beer on the table. (You can already see where I'm going with this....) I scored a goal and skated towards their area along the boards and slammed myself against the glass, knocking their beer all over.

Yeah, yeah I bought them another pitcher after the game.
