trevor13478 1 Report post Posted December 25, 2008 None of them have the new bill, which may be the worst thing ever put on a hat. There really isnt a new bill. Yes there is. Check out a hat from a couple years ago to the recent ones. The new ones wick moisture away or some crap, but they don't retain a curve for crap. The giveaway on that was the change from a Gray underside to Black I believe too.The new bills for the on-field hats have the black underside supposedly to cut down on glare for the players, what a crock
Dean_ 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2008 I have a alright collection i have, they are in game hats:Yankees x2PhilliesCubsGiants Tigershopefully i will be a few more for christmasYou don't know how hard it is for me to not rip those stupid hats off my bother's head, tear off the sticker and bend the brim! It irks me just to look at the damn things...Hahaha well why would you quote my post to say that ?also i got a Padres hat to add to the list
stock07 1 Report post Posted December 26, 2008 I dont know if its my head shape or just my non-sense of "style" but I can never get a 59/50 to look right on my head, I like the straight bill look but cant seem to pull it off...have a few Yankees caps... mack 44 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 The low profile models were kill. I find myself buying more Franchise hats since the make more obscure colleges and teams. It's good to see some people still like the Nords.

I've played a ton of baseball and I always prefer the black under-brim to any white or other color brim.

It's good to see some people still like the Nords.Yes, weren't they the 39/30? \I'm in the same boat, they are too tall for me and since I'm bald, there's a sag in the center of the hat. mattzilla 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 you can shrink em down a bit.. but if your head is shallow and bald, no amount of shrinking will do.you could always wear it joe torre style
JR Boucicaut 3802 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 I'm considering stripping it, but am afraid that it will look even worse. The size is good and tight, I just need the cap part to somehow take shape better.
mattzilla 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 if you use luke warm water you can get quite a bit of shrink to them. I have a few 'short hair' hats that i cant wear when my hair is longer because i've shrunk them to hellif you use hot water you get shrink lines and it looks gross.if you have a spray bottle, spray it and put it on your head and just keep patting it down.. it'll eventually get to ( or close to ) where you need it. roller to ice 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 Didnt want to start a new thread but this is pretty much relevant to this one. Does anyone know where i can find 59/50 NHL hats. I have 7 Rangers hats but cant find a 59/50 style one ive been looking for quite some time. I have found weird fashion one with a blackout look or odd colors but not any Rangers just red white and blue, do they even make them?
Viking 1 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 They make a low profile 5950 - something like that?... 3930's are just those awful batting practice hats with the spandex on the sides, aren't they?... Also, I love 5950 hats, and have a collection that is growing almost as fast as my head (I bought two last week in a size 8, and have a couple that are less than a year old in a 7 3/4 that I can't get on my head anymore, even after stretching). My collection:blue orange NY Mets (orange logo)blue Montreal Exposblack Houston Astrosblack Toronto Blue Jays road (with the 'T' logo on the front)blue Chicago Cubsblack Ottawa Senators with red brimblack Houston Astros (fashion) with metallic gold brim/logogreen Houston Astros (fahion) with black brim/logoblack Houston Astros (fashion) with '70s/'80s logo (black star/white H)Also, it's not likely, but if anyone has an Ottawa Lynx hat in a size 8 or 7 7/8 in unworn or very lightly worn condition, I am looking to purchase such a thing. I saw it and I just HAD to buy it. I get a lot of compliments on it...though my coach just looked at me when I walked into the dressing room for practice the day after I bought it, shook his head and said "You're probably too fucking young to even remember when they were in Quebec."
