Skates: Easton 1500C w/ LS2's. These have basically totally fallen apart, 1/2 of the eyelets are gone, basically no toe-cap material left, textile material completely separating from the carbon boot. All the usual 1500c probs basically.

how do the sickick shaft and the R8 compare?

R8 is lighter, more balanced, and whippier than the Sickick (which is a mid-flex, compared to the R8's whip). I also like the grip zone and how concave the R8 shaft is as well. I've only used it twice, but I'll have a better review this weekend. Sickick was my all-time fav shaft, and I'm really liking the R8 so far..

Elbows: Easton, Ultra Lite I believe. Hard to find a pair as comfortable as them. Can't stand the hard shell on most newer elbow pads.
