DolomaticDangles 13 Report post Posted December 12, 2009 Helmet- Reebok 6K '09- really comfortable and protectiveGloves- Warrior MacDaddy leather- took a while to break in the palms but they're good nowShoulder- Easton ST16- protective/no complaintspants- Bauer One90- they r alot heavier than my old grafs, but super protective. Personally I don't think anyone needs that much protection so Id just get like One75s next time because they're lighter. Shin Pads- Rbk 9k- the inside of them come out so you can Wash them or whatever but I don't like it because if you are sweaty and need to slide them they like come apart (it's velcro)Skates- Reebok 9K Pump '09- coming from eastons I got them brand new on eBay for $220. They are really stiff, and actually pretty light. Obviously not s17 or u's but there not bad. Really good skates overall Sticks- TPS R8- good stick but to whippy in the flex I haveWarrior Kronik 70 Draper 08- best stick I've ever used. So legit. Conrads6 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2009 Helmet: NBH8500 - Fairly light weight, SUPER adjustable. Once I dialed it in it locks on to my head, don't even notice itVisor: Bauer straight cut. Works fine. Wouldnt mind a shorter cut, but it's alright. Fogs a bit. Shoulder pads: DR Legend Series. Super light weight, comfortable....Much better than my super old flak jacket...Love it. Elbow pads: El Cheapo Bauer ones right now, old school style. I still can't settle in on comfortable ones. Looking for some old JOFA's. Gloves: Old, Easton GX1300...I LOVE these gloves, but they are falling apart. Getting used to the Bauer 4 rolls now..nice, just not used to the loose fit.Pants: Tackla 2500: What can I say, old and comfortable...getting snug...I must be getting old. Shin pads: Easton Airs, Very comfortable and durable. Skates: Bauer Supreme 4000.... I love them, but they are falling apart...starting to shop for new ones. Stick: Current is an Easton S11...only used it a few times but I love it. I was using an NBH XXXX....I like the Easton a lot more.

flashgordon 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2009 Ok, rarely does one get the chance to go into a store and buy a whole new set of gear. But thanks to some thieves in Montreal (I am here visting from Toronto) who broke into my SUV and stole my and my son's hockey bag, I had the opportunity to go into Rousseau Sports north of Montreal and do just that.I would have preferred to shop around and take more time, but I had a game with a buddy the next day. Here's what I ended up with:Bag: Warrior Pro (I had a MIA custom before which was by the far the best, toughest bag I have owned. This new Warrior bag is similar, but the material may not be as thick) Helmet: RBK 6K w/ Bauer Truevision cage (like it better than my CMM Vector or Mission Intake)Gloves: Warrior Franchise Nylon 14" (also own custom MIAs and Easton Pro Stocks)Elbows: Sher-Wood Tradition (same as before, like the softer elbow) Shins: Bauer One75 15" (a little bulky but I like the strap system)Shoulders: Sher-Wood Tradition (don't like the laces, I'll miss my Itech bare bones shoulders)Pants: Bauer One95 (these are heavier than I am used to, might swap for something else) Skates: Bauer x60 (bought 7.5D, too big, store swapped them for a 7D). These will replace the Bauer XXXXs that were stolen. I also own RBK 9K Pumps which I like but they sometimes hurt my feet, as well as Graf pro stock 705sSticks:Ironically I had taken my sticks out of my truck so as not to attract attention. My collection has shrunk considerably, but here's what I've got:- Easton SE16 Grip, Getzlaf 85 flex x2- Easton S17 Grip, Lidstrom 85 flex- Bauer XXXLite Pro Stock Vrbata x2- Warrior Dolomite Pro Stock Vrbata- Warrior Pro Stock Afanasenkov x6- Easton S17(SE) Pro Stock Briere Thankfully my home insurance covered the replacement cost (less the deductible), but I'd still be just as happy to have all my old set up back.
