Damn, that's a lot of changes for one year. I wonder if some of these things have been worked on for 2 years because the change from 08 to 09 was pretty minimal compared to this.

Thank God they finally are fixing Dynasty which I have always wanted to be my favorite mode but it just pisses me off.

I wonder about the Proshop feature. I doubt they will have something like Bauer models cost more and are better than Easton for example - no manufacturer would buy into that. Probably you will start with the ability to use a Synergy and then can unlock up to the SE16.

It seems EA is really stepping up their game the last 2-3 years. Even Madden this year looks like it's going to be pretty damned sweet and a lot more realistic.

I don't think it would go by a cost system, more like the more you play, the higher end stick you unlock. Like you said, probably start off with an ST or something and work your way into getting the SE16 and then the S17?

I know that in the middle of making each game they start meetings on what they want in the next game or they look at the massive list of what the fans want and start talking about that.

I love the idea of the pro shop. Anything they can do to liven up be a pro mode for longevity helps when tossing down $60 on the game. Especially since 09 is going to basically be worthless when 10 comes out.

It would be kind of cool if you had to start off with Reebok and had limited options(such as patterns). Then as you got better you got more options.

The pro shop sounds like it could be really cool, it definitely adds something to Be A Pro. Im sure all the gear ho's on this website will love it. This system worked really well for tiger woods. Im getting really excited for this release!

I kinda hope the Pro Shop is similar to NHL Hitz was back in the day, when you could only afford Ultra Lite skates at the start, and with time you moved on to Ultra Lite Pros, Airs, etc. I love that game for that reason. It was one of the first I remember having real gear in it, and not just blank look-alike templates.

It does look to be a very exciting game...I know it wasent to many years back that NHL ** was about to be put on the back burner or cut out of the sports line for good...Great to see the game continues to get better and better...

somehow my NHL 09 disk got destroyed. Started playing one day, and my 360 spit it out and said it was unreadable. big ass scratch around the disk. NHL 10 needs to hurry the hell up and come out.

Anybody know if they plan to release it for PS2.

Let me tell you, I bought NHL 09 for PS2 and it is pretty much exactly the same as '05 (of course, updated jerseys)

With '09 on PS2 it was kind of neat to get the updated jerseys/rosters, but they left everything else the same. Commentary, game sequences, equipment, etc. It just seemed like they put 3% effort into the game.

Only on next-gen consoles. They made the EA Montreal studio scrap PS2/PC to help focus on making the next gen version of NHL 10.

NHL2K10 is apparently supposed to come out for PC as well though.

An even better overview of the GM mode. This is looking to be the best feature they've added in years. As long as it works as advertised I think they've done a great job of nailing a very compelling GM/dynasty mode.
