Are you referring to Beauchemin? Toronto doesn't have a captain. Same as in Vancouver, where Mitchell takes any ceremonial faceoffs.

Officially Luongo is the captain, but goalies can't take ceremonial faceoffs, talk to the ref with the other team's captain, etc.

it's not his tongue, it's a pad that sits over the laces to block shots. Would honestly drive me crazy though if I was wearing something that bounced around like that.

Kind of a gear sighting - it seems the majority of players I see wear x:60's. A lot wear one95's. I know bauer has the majority of th market, but it seems to be like 80%. Anyone have the actual numbers?

Also, no C allowed on the jersey either. Kind of a dumb rule, IMO, and I think Luongo agrees since he put his C on his mask.

One time last season I think they had Luongo and Huet take a "draw" because Chicago had Tony Esposito dropping the puck.

Yeah, I saw those, they look really cool, just showed a good shot of them a second ago actually. Franzen is wearing Easton gloves, he usually wears bauer.

Personally I don't feel goalies should be allowe to be captain because of the fact they can't do the captain duties of talking to the Ref and really leading the team during a game (from the bench). Also, I feel they can be too temperemental. Just my opinion, no offense to any goalies hopefully.

I'm not a big fan of the red-on-white wordmark on the cuff of the gloves. In my opinion white-on-red might look a little better.

When they were Nike bauer branded it was white on red. I'm guessing they wanted it to stand out and be different.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but P. Bergeron is in Bauer gloves. Didn't get a great look at them but I think they are X:60s.

It's true. I was watching a game a while back and one of the play by play guys mentioned that he talked to Iginla about his curve. Iggy said that he added a big toe to remind him to shoot more.
