So, considerring Joe Sakic is one of the most humble and unassuming NHL players of all-time...isn't it a bit much to put his number 19 on the boards like 60 times? I think the two behind each net would be just fine, to be honest.

I don't think that sort of decision was up to him, lol

Patrice Bergeron is using the X:60 tonight...not sure if it's been mentioned already.

I didn't catch that but I saw the Sher-Wood on the breakaway goal.

Edit: upon further review you're right on . Just saw a better pic

I've seen ovechkin switch from the last years model CCM gloves to this years, and then back tonight. Anyone know what's up?

I wonder if he's one of those guys that changes gloves between periods due to soaked gloves.

could be, but why not have 2 pairs of the same model...he is the posterboy after all.

Looked like Wheeler was wearing a visor this year.

From the Boston Globe 9/29:

Wheeler, struck by a puck around the right eye in practice last week, will wear a visor permanently. “Doesn’t make sense not to,’’ Wheeler said. The second-year forward said that had the puck been on edge when it struck, he would have been injured far more seriously.

Come on, I know a lot of you wouldn't USE his gloves! Extended cuff and single-piece fingers. :P

BTW, Mike Green and his Easton gloves/stick were shown earlier. Green used the pro "SE16" gloves during the playoffs last year when he ran out of CNT sticks. He wore them two times but switched back to his RBK branded MIA gloves... BUT this season he's using the "SE16" glove with a different scheme. He's also still doing the same cuff mod as usual.

must resist iginla's gloves!

flames should make those retro's their no. 1 jersey, looks too damn good

agreed. a few years ago the local Midget level travel team went retro with the Atlanta Flames version of all that stuff. they did everything, helmets, jerseys, gloves, shells/pants, socks. it looked SHARP!

Anyone care to shine some light why the Sedin's scribbled out the Nike swoosh on their Vapor 40? Could it be because Bauer asked them to? I noticed in the photo and while watching the game when one of them was in the box and they showed a close up.

Didn't notice the scribble swoosh on Blake's gloves

I want to know if Easton just sent out some sort of glue on cuff logo, or if every player with Easton gloves in the league ordered new ones. I haven't seen anyone without the new logo on the cuff.

My guess is the beginning of the 'phasing out' of Nike from hockey. I noticed the 'scribbling' on the swoosh too. Bauer labels have also been put on helmets that had the NBH logo.

If they didn't get new gloves, the EQM could easily swap out the rolls.

Osgood's stick is the same way, the swoosh was filled in.

Didn't I mention that Tampa Bay was scribbling out the Swoosh in this thread? Probably too far back to see...but yeah, we'll see how long that lasts, as it is not the same logo.

Rene Boruque is missing the swoosh on his 4500 as well.

Thats pretty weird. Its a red helmet for the flames, you'd figure they just got the new ones, not like they had em lying around or anything.
