yrhmblnr8r 69 Report post Posted July 25, 2009 Youngblood is a classic just for Tea with Ms. McGill (blatantly ripped off in Summer Catch.) Every schoolboy's fantasy come to life.Any old sports movie is fun to watch for the changes in gear over the years. The last time I saw Youngblood, I wanted to go out and get an old Titan and some tiny Cooper shin pads.

Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 This was THE movie that made me want to play. Before that I never even knew hockey existed! Here was a sport where you got to go fast, hit people whenever you wanted to and fight! Obviously playing for 13 years has enlightened me past my misconceptions gained as an 8 year old, but still, It was one of the 1st ever DVD's I bought and cherished. It's my second favourite hockey movie all time, behind Miracle.

in da crease 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 watching it for the first time now.the intro makes me want to go work on forward to backwards transitions :( crapI believe Peter Zezel did the skating scenes you are referring to. Ironically, Peter died just two months ago at age 44.
chippa13 1844 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 The hockey scenes were absolutely atrocious, especially the first shift where Deaner and Sutton are playing keep away in the neutral zone."Sutton to Youngblood................Youngblood to Sutton...........Sutton to Youngblood..............Youngblood to Sutton................."
