Finally time for new skates....

Recommended Posts

I have tried on both and liked the fit of each, just looking for the opinion of some of the posters. Also be mindful I can get the 9ks for 300, does that make them the sure fire winner in this decision?

Go to your LHS and TRY THEM ON they are dirfferent fits. The 9k is for a flat and wide foot. The supreme is not because I have the one 75s they fit nicely and I have a moderate width foot with a somewhat deep arch.

well I did mention that I had tried on both, both seemed to fit well. I must have a pretty adaptive foot because i dont have a wide foot by any stretch of the imagination but I fit the 9k very nicely and if the supreme boot is a lot more narrow it didnt feel that much more so to me.

9k for wide foot is good. but i dont know for flat foot. supreme, i had this skates, and its definitely not for flat footed person. the wide is ok for me. it just i made a mistake as i am a flat footed person..damn....well i just add a custom insole and its quite good. just pick 9k if u had the budget.

If you have flat feet (No Arch) Do not get the Supremes. If you have an arch and narrow to moderate width foot go with the supreme. Although you need a narrow heel for the one75.

The 9k isn't that wide. The EEs I had were too narrow for me.

You must have a duck foot! ;) Just tried on the 9k's, S15's, and 75's. Mind you I had supreme 50's in EE and they barely fit the width of my foot. D width RbK's were fine but I could feel the lack of arch in them. I have a collapsing arch so I need an insole anyway. I found the heel in the 9k's a little lacking even with the pump. The bauer's were OK but I have had heel slip with them. The S15's were it for me.

IMO I'd go with the 9k's for $300 due to the deal if you don't have to pump them 30 times to get a good heel lock. My shop offered the 9k's for $400 and the S15's for $325 and I went with the best fit not what I really wanted. I came in looking for Rbk's and left with Easton. If they ever tighten up the heel pocket on the Rbk's I'd be all over it.

I have 9k's and a ee is a bit narrow for me at the front, the heel is good i dont use the pump and the back end of the skate fits great. I woudlnt say there for flat footed people, im a bit flat footed myself however they do fit better then most skates i've worn. I would say go for it, there a good skate especially for the price there going for. Its a top of the line skate vs a lower one for a similar price if not more and if they both fit you why not? Also, the thrusts are a lot lower down then the 9k's.

They were close in terms of width but the depth wasn't even close. I have a relatively high arch and need a ton of depth in any boot. That makes it really hard to find something that fits me well.

I wore graf g9's in a 11 wide compared to my 10.5 ee 9k and the grafs fit great, the toe cap was a little narrow though and gave me blisters after i wore them a bit.

Some Companies have different lines that have different fits and Graf is one that Has a cornucopia of skate models with different fits. It really pisses me off when someone says they hate grafs because they don't fit right. They never admit that they bought the wrong skate for their foot.

The only Graf that I haven't tried is the 709 and I don't want something that stiff or that tall. The issue with Graf is that the different fits often have different specs in other parts of the boot. I dislike Grafs because they don't work for me.

They are a different fit. They may both feel okay walking around on the LHS carpet but one is likely going to be better for you on the ice. If the fit was thrown out the window I'd say the One75's because there is less to break. How many pumps did it take to get a good heel lock?

Obviously they are not for everyone the thing that miffs me is when people blatanly say all Graf skates suck because one pair did not work for them. I hear that A LOT down here.

I tried on the One95's because one of the rinks I play at has them on sale for $500-instant pain on the top of my foot. I was all exicted to get top of the line skates as my Easton 1500C's were worn out, ended up buying XXXX's instead. The RBK's just seem too big and clunky to my. If I was in the guy who started the thread's position, both skates fit well, I assume they are the same price or close to the same-I'd go with the Supreme's. The RBK's just seem too gimmicky, too heavy for my money.

When used properly and looked after (only ever having air in the pumps when your foot is in them), breakage is very minimal. Ive heard of the one90's having a lot of problems, arn't the one75's near identical?

Also to call 9k pumps heavy is pretty foolish if you ask me. They might have the weight of a dime more then any other pair, if that.

By the way, the g9's are the same fit as the 709.

ahhh, one75 is a great skates. but if you fit with it. for me, bye2 bauer.... I'll have to wait couple of months before my parents allow me to buy a new pair of skates... However, about RBK, I love the heel lock on one75, is this will be the issue in RBK line? My friends who had RBk before, always get blisters on their heel because of the pump. Anyone has the same problem?

Try them on and get the one that fits you the best, bottom line. Forget about the advertising and brand hype.

i bought the one75s a year ago and havent been more upset. it is most likely due to the fit of the skate but in a year i already have multiple rivets rusting out. i keep good care of my equipment so its not from leaving htem in a bag. the ee width is still too narrow for my foot but i know i would have to go custom to get a wider skate. i highly recommend to stay away from these skates if you have some sort of a wide foot.

I vote 9ks. I have a wide foot, but, "normal," arches. Once they broke in they fit better than anything I've ever worn. I also love the lacelock feature. I was never able to get the loose forefoot and extremely tight ankle I like until I bought these skates. I've completely stopped using the pump feature for the most part even.

Do you take the footbeds out of your skates?
