One95 Stick 458 Grams ?

Recommended Posts

Just put my one95 on the scales came up with 458 grams cut down to a 85 flex, sounds a little heavy to me lol.

If you have a one95 OPS, how heavy is yours ?

I dont care if the stick weighs 10 pounds, it feels great. It does have weight to it, you do notice that but its very blade light and rock solid, well made and just overall a great stick. I may not use them anymore but i have to admit for everything but deking there far better then the se's im using.

Yeah, they are a really good stick and it doesnt bother me but i was shocked in a way that they were that much more heavy than an s17 for instance, but like one of you sayed its about the blance aswell , but its not a problem

with a 2" extension put in and fully taped the stick is ~510g but it still feels extremly light in my hands compared to the rest of my sticks. For example, the one90 I have is clocking in at around 467g without extension and uncut and it doesnt feel as nice in my hands. Its really all in the head. IMO manufacturers should give a value for balance instead of weight, that would be much more interesting (but also a lot more revealing).

And how do you suggest they rate this balance?

(that really is a question, not sarcasm or a rude remark)

You could measure a balance point by distance or % of stick length up the shaft that weight is evenly distributed top to bottom. Might be interesting to see what various stick would measure at.

Because I was curious about this...

Obviously, the sticks are cut and taped and based on how close the relative measurements were, I'm not sure everything here isn't within the margin for error of the method I used.

Easton Synergy SE 100FX Carle Pro 55.85" : Balances at 35.5" from bottom - 63.5 % weight to blade

NBH One95 77FX Shaft/TPS Ehroff Pro Blade 55.85" : Balances at 36" from bottom - 64.4 % weight to blade

All manufacturers weights are approximations because sticks vary. I've had IDENTICAL sticks with everything being the same, curve, flex, brand new out of box, uncut etc, weigh up to 20 grams different. This has occurred to me with TPS R10s, Easton s17s, Bauer Vapor XXX's, etc. The truth is, it's normal. Nobody should have a shit fit about a half ounce or so...

If you can feel 20g difference your really weak.

I`ll say it like this. I was at the LHS earlier today and weight goes

RBK 10k

CCM U+CL

One95

S17

Ive had heavier peices of paper than a 10k

IMO the stick still needs to have SOME weight to it, otherwise it just feels flimsy to me personally - like 10K for instance

One95 feels lighter then XXXX, but I weighted them both on the same post scale & One95 was heavier - so who cares what the actual weight is, what matters is how the stick feels & plays.

but for some it only feels better if they know it weights less or doesnt go over a certain weight figure. Even if they wont notice a difference, it's all psychology.

When i posted this i didn't say that the weight was a problem, nor did i say i could feel the diffrence in 20 or so grams, also i never sayed nothing bad about the stick so when i posted this i was just saying it sounded a bit heavy not complaining in any way i was supprised that was the weight, so if anyone is trying to be funny just dont :)

I don't think anyone was accusing you of it. There are just a lot of people who do say that 20 grams makes a difference and it really doesn't.

The S17 came up as 480g at full length on the scale.

480g, Eint they mento be like 425 lmao

At minimum senior legnth, they are 425, in that range. Thgat is how thwy get you to think that your full stick is so light, but it isnt.

As its been stated, I'd rather play with a 480 gr stick that is well balanced then a blade heavy stick that only says it weighs 430 gr.
