vitaminchi 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 hey guys, i was wondering if anyone knew about these...i work at a college hockey rink, and we are installing cameras that overlook the goals this year. we are not allowed to have the waterbottles on top of the nets this year b/c of that, that being said, supposedly in the NHL they have these water bottle holders that clip onto the center post...does anyone know where i can grab some? or should i just make some? any help would be awesome! thanks! Rustpot 1 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 I believe it's come up once or twice before and no one was able to turn anything up. They're essentially custom made for the NHL with Gatorade logos on them.It wouldn't be hard to make some of your own, though. Get some nylon straps, snaps, and a sheet of appropriate nylon fabric from the sewing/crafts store. The trick would be selecting a material or sandwiching a harder material such that it would hold its shape.
Drewhunz 3 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 Come on: it's a coozie, bungie cord, and a snap ring. It's not rocket surgery.
furlanitalia 1 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 That's true, it would be very easy to manufacture them. I did call up GM Place and they didn't know where they got them. Did get the name/number of their operations guy who might know where to order them, but he wasn't at his desk.
Too Old 1 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 If you use bicycling size water bottles go to a bike shop and get one of the strap-on bottle holders. They have a couple Velcro straps and would work like a charm.

Chadd 916 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 they're just taking all the fun out of sniping the bottle. You just don't want to do it in warmups. Nothing worse than exploding your own goalies water bottle.

It's not rocket surgery.yes yes, i know. we could easily manufacture one, but they're trying to look sharp. D1 school, ya know? anyways, thanks for the feedback guys, if anyone comes up with some more, please let me know. also, some schools come in and like to bring their own water bottles for the keepers...whatever floats their boat. we're just trying to look professional and consistent. SirJW 207 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 If it's a D1 school get in touch w/ the Gartorade or Powerade contact/supplier, they should be able to help you get a real one.
