Made in Canada

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if there are any hockey glove factories left in Canada?

I know Eagle is made in Canada and I believe they are now located in London, Ontario. And I believe Warrior makes the Franchise in Canada (although I'm not sure where). I'm just wondering if there are any other gloves made in Canada. If so, what brands and where are the factories located. I would like to support those companies. I just bought a pair of Eagle X88's - Made in Canada, great glove and perfect fit.

Last, I tried to search the forum, but that function wasn't working.

Thanks in advance

Much of the pro or franchise gloves are made in canada

Just be careful because they trick people by writing things like Designed in Canada. I know Easton and a few others do that and people fall for it because they just see our little flag

good on you for supporting canadian companies.

much easier to do if you're a goaltender i must say.

I checked my pro bauers and was hoping to see the flag but didn't

made in china

but thats okay:)

vaughn bought eagle a while ago i know from talking with mike vaughn about where his gear is made that most of vaughn's gear is made in china. though they still make the high end and custom gear in their oxford mi shop. my x-88 also were made in canada.

at one time there was a factory in canada named forte that made alot gloves for alot of companies including eagle, but i don't know if they still exist.

Just bought a pair of Graf Ultra G5's - again - made in Canada. Wore them today for the first time. Great skate, great fit, light. Couldn't be happier. I've had alot of trouble finding a skate that didn't kill my feet and am glad I tried on/bought the Graf's.

Is Tackla made in Canada?

Don't mean to harp on this, but I'm tired of seeing all manufacturing exported overseas.

US Tackla stuff is made in Thailand, Canadian Tackla stuff will disappear

Have the RBK 9 skates and they are made in Canada. It would seem that the top dollar items in the RBK line are Canuck made. The jerseys and skates. Not sure about the other items though.

Pretty sure it's a legal thing. Anything made in China has to marked as such (customs import/export thing). There are companies that let manufacturers design and build product for them so when a product is designed in North America they want to mark it as such.

I've dealt with contract manufactures in China for years. I've seen some real crap, but I've also seen some pretty high quality stuff turned out.

Most of the pro stock TPS gloves used to be made at a factory in Strathroy, ON. They made all pro custom equipment there from pants to goalie equipment as well

I just want to make a quick point that if no hockey equipment was made in China, then you can all expect MUCH MUCH higher prices for everything, so its not all bad if its made in China

Sub, any guess at how many R8's were made by Eagle? Tens, hundreds? Just curious because I was under the impression that they were fairly common.

aren't they "designed in Canada" only?

Easton Pro gloves/skates are made in Montreal.

I am happy to see others are into buying non-Chinese produced items. I am bit shocked to see how much of hockey equipment sold in North America is imported. I have been going out of my way to find equipment which is not made in China or Asia.

Please note, that some Eagle gloves are made in China. I just got a pair for Christmas. My GF purchased a pair of Eagle Sentry gloves which were made in China. I was under the impression that Eagle equipment was from Canada...

I am from USA and would love to support Canadian hockey manufacturers. I am looking to get a pair of Tackla pants. Are they still produced in Canada?

Side note: As for sticks, I have found that Montreal sticks are made in Finland.
