Where to buy replacement palms?

Recommended Posts

is there a place that replaces pearl mustang? That's what i prefer in my glove. I've talked to my warrior rep about maybe getting them repalmed thru them but i doubt that will be able to happen. Any place stock pearl mustangs?

I have the same question. MSH2 was too slick for me.

I've worn eagle gloves with both Mustang palm and MSH palm. I liked the mustang one better. my friend has it on his gloves that are like 3 or 4 years old and there are no holes. and he plays a lot.

Thanks to whoever posted the link to what type of palm to get, saved me some time trying to find some answers. I have a question though, I tend to burn through my top hand's palm really fast, if I got MSH2 palms, should I get a MSH2 overlay on it or some other type of overlay or would I not need to with MSH2? Someone also mentioned getting mesh gussets, just wondering what's so good about them, I'm assuming they just breathe well? Thanks

maybe you could try clear tape on the butt end. i've seen some guys that do that because it helps save their palm.s

Hah I figured you were going to say that... mobilephotojan222010405.th.jpg mobilephotojan222010406.th.jpg

I use a similar shape and have had very good luck with the foam from oggie grips on the end. I use two strips of the straight line stuff at the top and then tape over it. I talked to Joe the other day trying to get some rolls of the straight stuff instead of having it be part of a sheet with other stuff.

My R8s have a rip in one of the fingers. If I can't find FFH palms, and I don't think anyone can get them, I'll probably go with goat.

Why goat?

I don't use grip sticks and find the MSH too slick. I hate nash; no grip, gets really slick when wet and doesn't seem to last as long as some other types of palms. Goat has plenty of grip and lasts much longer than something like a digital palm.

I dont use grip either, maybe I'll look into the merits of goat skin palms. Thanks for the idea. I'm always tinkering

I do like the MSH2 palms on my Eagle PPFs though.. I have a new pair of Bauer 4 rolls too. I should take them down to George's and put MSH2's on them or goat skin like you said.

I just bought a second pair of R8s (now in all nylon) to back up my R8 lites and they have the other palm (don't remember what it is). I hate it!! So much stiffer and less feel. I love the FFH. I hope someone cam get that.

They're usually nash with a digital overlay. Digital is great for grip, but not all that durable.

I found TPS's "Digitech" rather durable, it's thicker than the average digital palm.

Chadd, you could always go to a farmer's auction and buy a lamb. hah

Hello all so my custom warriors goat skin palms tore within the first month and a half of use. I play Midget Major AAA here in the States so i do play anywhere from 5 times a week to 8 depending on games/showcases. Ive been reading this thread because my warriors are in terrible condition in just the palms. I like the thinness of the goat and the feel but the durability was just absolutely terrible. I was wondering what is MSH2 and how will it compare to goat?

MSH2 is thinner and well it feels like microfibre, there's not really another way to describe it. It's not as soft or as thick as goat.

Gonna bump this thread, since Eagle no longer sells msh2 palms to end customer's through there LHS. Looking for a place to buy either msh2 or mustang, and have the palms mailed to me, so I can get them sewn in buy a local guy. I tried George's and Peaches both said they don't carry msh2/mustang. Fix it by mail said they could, although actually getting them to follow through is another story, there customer service is outright garbage and there not worth the time of day. Any recommendations ?

George's is working on a pair for me right this very moment. I contacted Warrior and bought the mustang palms directly from them. used IW as a middle man to facilitate the transaction.

I don't know a lot about palms, so would anyone be able to help me identify the palms I have on my Bauer pro stock Ales Hemsky gloves Link here: http://s1233.photobu...nt=IMAG0331.jpg

I have ripped through the other palm pretty badly and so I'm thinking about getting them redone. The only problem is I live in UK and there aren't really any shops to do this. Would you suggest going to a cobbler/shoe repair place and seeing if I can get it done there? Also can anyone make a suggestion about where to buy new palms and have them shipped out. The gloves are 13" if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

+1 Those look like Digital palms.

Pittard's Digital is actually sourced by a company in England. I'm not sure if you could contact them directly about finding replacement palms, that is if you want to replace it with the same material?

http://www.pittards.com/

If you can find a pair of palms you like and want to take them to a cobbler, I'd try to find one that's familiar with hockey/gloves. I've had one good experience and one bad experience taking gloves to a cobbler for repairs.

Palms on my ak27s are done, I had Peaches do msh2 on my old franchises and i love them cause they are maintenance free. Is there anything on the market that is comparable?

Reviving an old thread. My pro stock CBJ franchises desperately need a repalming and I would love to get mesh gussets with yellow mustang palms on them. Is there anyone around that can do this anymore or am I SOL?

Other random question, any body "re-leather gloves" If I but a pair of retail Easton Z-air's on ebay, is it possible to get the leather replaced so they dont have those terrible graphics on them?

Did you ever find anywhere good to get gloves re-palmed?
