Stick with the most lively feel?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm looking for a stick between the two brands: Bauer and Easton, that has the most lively feel to it (not too much dampening)? Namely between the : X:60, SE16, or the S17. I really like to feel the puck on my stick because i dangle a lot and i prefer the more "lively" feeling.

Thanks,

Vince

One95 feels very good to me. The Easton blades feel harder, but I have no idea how long they hold up because I hate that type of feel.

Don't mean to thread jack, but I'm wondering if the feel on the TPS R8 or One95 is similiar to the feel of the Vapor XXX lite.

The R8 is a more lively puck feel than the 30-lite, the one95 isn't quite as damp to me but similar. If you want something similar feel wise, check out a 10k.

There are two different "feels" that are really offered, it seems like some people like what most of us consider bad feel.

Pingy: Easton, Warrior, TPS, Vapor

Dampened, feels like wood: one95, Mission VDS OPSs, CCM(the V130, 8.0 and V10 Catapult are elites from CCM in this category)

The U+ is good, no comment on the U+CL. The 10K is inbetween. No comment on the 8.0.8 because mine is pro stock and with a different blade. One could argue that the Easton ST and Warriors with the Spyne blades are in this in-between category also.

Tried se16, s17 and one95, The one95 was by far my favorite for puck feel. The s17 feels dead, but I did have a hell of a shot with it.

How is the feel on the Se16, and is it durable? I can get it for $175 CDN and I don't want to blow that kind of money for a stick that won't last for atleast a season.

Thanks,

Vince

No comment on the CL due to no experience?

I figured, but thought I would ask anyway.

How do the CCM's you have used compare to the one95 for slap and snap shots?

I have a pretty wicked slap and snap shot with my one85's but wrister...not so much. Obviously I can work on that, but was thinking of trying out CCM next.

The CL is good, reminds me of the CNT. To me, it's ideally in between damp and pingy. However, I found the normal U+ to be kind of pingy/hollow feeling.

Well if you are in canada. If you have a sport check close to you, I know they have some CNT's. I know a lot of people have said good things about those stick.

I was going to say what TBL did, if by lively you meant pingy or ceramic feeling, the Vapor is right there. The One95 felt a lot more dampened, which was nice for passes.

About the durability... How often do companies like Easton have "bad batch" of sticks come out? I am wanting to buy a couple of the 2009 Model STs and was wondering how often major manufacturers release bad batches of sticks. Because if they blow up after the warrant is up (which will most likely happen) I would feel pretty bad. Thanks for the help!
