The Mafia Line

Where is Lebron James going?

Recommended Posts

He will hold the NBA hostage for a month or two then demand his terms.... he can choose his team and he can choose the players the team brings in and now it looks like he gets to choose his coach as well.

If he put as much effort into games 5 and 6 as he has with his "offseason" plan then he might be still contending for a title this year.

My bet.... NYC

If he cares about winning, not the Knicks. In order I'd say

Cleveland

Chicago

NJ

the field

Now I'm no basketball fan, but didn't the Nets just set one of the records for the worst season or something?

Yeah, but they're in a great spot going forward, new owner, moving to brooklyn and Lebron's buddy Jay Z is still a minority owner.

It won't happen but joining the Clipps would be very interesting, invade Kobes town, turn the worst franchise in the world into a contender/ possible NBA champ, bring celebrities to Clipps games(not just reality stars) and you still got the media market of LA.

Of course turning the Knickerbockers into NBA champs would be as BIG as it could get.

Worldwide Wes aka Wesley Johnson will have something to do with where Lebron ends up.

Why is Johnson lebron's buddy or something, or just because he's sick?

I think the King should go to Chicago can change his name to Michael.

Wesley is seen as one of the most powerful people in basketball. Wesley is always usually involved with all of the top high school prospects and influences (steers) them to certain college programs, coaches, and shoe companies ( John Calipari and Nike for example). Here is an article that sums up Wes (albeit a couple years old and a little long).

Wes is also looking to become an agent for coaches and will soon sign with the same agency that represents James, Wade, and Calipari along with a bunch of other celebrities.

My fault on the wrong name. It was a little early and I was still shaking off the cobwebs.

Understandable! My buddy told me he heard something about LeBron and Joe Johnson going to Chicago, but they would get rid of Heinrich and Deng. Still Rose, LBJ, Noah, and JJ...

I think it will be Chicago, it's the best lineup he cans step into, it's Jordans spot, and LeBron loves Jordan (who doesn't) and it's a very big, all though not the biggest, market.

Tonight's probably the biggest night until the official first day of free agency when it comes to the Lebron sweepstakes. If the Nets get the #1 pick and John Wall or the Jazz end up with #1 since they probably won't take Wall then chances are Lebron's a Net since he and Wall love each other.

I don't think he's gonna go to the Bulls. His legacy seems important to him and I don't think he wants to be in Jordan's shadow for the rest of his career.

Jordan's shadow? He'd go to the Bulls to simply One-Up Jordan.

My bet will be with the New York Rangers, I heard Drury is looking for a new linemate.

But to be honest, no clue where he might be going, I'll take a shot in the dark and say a team no one would think of...West - Houston East - Pistons

The Pistons were a speculated destination for some of the top 2010 free agents until they spent (wasted would be a better term) their extra cap space last summer on Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva. After getting big contracts, Gordon then proceeds to have the worst season of his career, while Villanueva is exposed as a lazy player who can't defend and would rather complain about the organization on Twitter than get a rebound.

That would be pretty tough to do. To surpass Jordan in Chicago, you'd need more than a repeat, a three-peat, or even a four-peat. We're talking a minimum 8-peat.
