Easton Stealth RS Stick

Recommended Posts

I was basically going to say what Scotty said. The S17 was low kickpoint. The S19 was a little bit higher, more of a mid-low kickpoint. I've been under the impression that the RS will be somewhat inbetween the S17 and S19. But to sum it up, the S17, S19, and RS are low kickpoint sticks.

I was under the impression that the additional kevlar layers of the S19 was what shifted that kickpoint up a bit; IIRC it was Tyson at IW that presented that.

The ST is technically a low-kick stick too, according to Easton

dang what I would use. may try a shorter blade and see.

I don't know if I would change your whole set up because one guy said he didn't like the stick. I have a pro stock true RS and I haven't experienced that. The blade is very thin on my stick too.

Just something to consider.

Sakic. i pass really heavy and i could feel the twisting/blade giving.

That's odd, because I had to really lay into shots to get much flex out of the one I used.

this whole topic is for the RS, i was just posting my opinion for people who read through this. some people actually do think a 200+ dollar stick will make them better, im saying it made my passes worse. just something for people to think about. but the graphics on the stick are awesome. im going to try and find a repainted se16.

I know man. I totally understand. My post wasn't a bash or anything. I was just stating that I haven't noticed that problem. I basically just meant to say one opinion shouldn't make you completely overlook a stick.

yah good point. I like to really lean into shots and take snaps and one timers. I was excited when i read the blade stayed closed as I notice some sticks I use definetly open up when I shoot. I was hoping this was one of the features.

I will reserve judgement on saturday. I preordered from my local hockey shop and I pick up and go straight to the rink for 2 straight games. I should have a good review by then

The blade staying closed is not a 'feature' per say. It has more to do with the quality of the blade/hosel (carbon) and its construction. I believe composition of the internal foams also play a part

The elliptical taper is supposed to prevent torquing of the blade

The S7 has the elliptical 'feature', as does the S5 and it's not like those guys have the best blades either
