Recommended Posts

saw that also, im not sure how credible that really is, why would easton push that so hard, for it to be repaints?

I was thinking the same thing..

Not to knock on PSHG, but I doubt their credibility on this. Makes zero sense.

I don't have an S19 to compare to on hand, but the RS I have does have a gradual taper, and does have the "elliptical taper" printed on the stick with the graphics package.

Based on memory only, I'd say the taper isn't as extreme as the S19, but it is definitely there.

Finally got to use it tonight.

I have no idea if this prototype is the final design or not, but if it is... people are going to be very happy. Shots freakin fly of the blade like a rocket.

Have we figured out what "RS" means yet?

My guess is either obviously Really Strong, or something like R_____ Stealth. Revision Stealth, Reloaded Stealth.....

Elliptical Profile

Multi Rib blade construction

Kevlar wrapped shaft

Low kick point

Pro Shaft dimensions

Matte finish blade

The elliptical profile in the taper, made using a proprietary pressure molding process, results in less torsional twist and less loss of energy. the result is a quick release.

For greater accuracy, the blade stays closed through the shot, this is achieved by combining compression and pressure processes used with advanced core materials.

Only available in 100 and 85 flex, Iginla, Parise, Getzlaf, Heatley, Hall, Cammalleri

Had a session with the RS and the Widow and found that the Widow has a lower kick point.

Both felt tremendously more "snappy" than the APX or TotalOne.

Since Zetterberg left for Warrior they're gonna have to find a new name for the curve (maybe they already have???), I'm sure there'll be an RS in a re-named Forsberg/Zetterberg, it's a very popular, very common pattern.

Cammalleri is the new Zetterberg.

Exactly, the current Cammalleri is the old Shanahan but the 2011 Cammalleri will be the old Forsberg/Zetterberg.

Most of us are always great about name changes, knowing which curve compares to what, and keeping with the times as far as gear goes, but companies like Easton need to cool it with such drastic switches year to year.

"Oh yeah, that old toe curve called the Shanny that everyone loved? Let's bring it back, but it has to have a current name... so let's call it Cammalleri. What's that? Zetterberg has ditched our stuff? Hmm, let's call THAT one Cammalleri!"

Why would PSHG say the RS in the show are fake? Odd.

Some difference between the S19 and the RS: the way the shaft and blade/elliptical hosel are attached. Saved 40 grams (forgot exact weight, but was around that number) by using a tongue and groove method instead of the tradition method of fusing the two ends with extra material. The flex profile of the stick is now similar to other sticks, no longer needing to over stiffen the shaft (S17 shafts were too soft, so they made the S19 stiffer to make it true to stamped flex). The blade is redesigned, the reinforcement bar in the blade has been moved, less change of breakage.

Asked what the RS means...not even the rep knew (and Easton is a small office).

Probably the best stick to be released in Q4 in my opinion.
