I figure the RS skate will be a touch heavier than the S15's. This is all speculation on my part, though.

The guy just messaged me saying he misread the scale, they're actually 760 grams.. (1 lb, 11 ounces, not 1.l lbs)

That makes more sense. I'm still figuring that the top end skate, will probably be called the RS, and will weigh a little more than the old S15's did. I think enough years have passed that they're able to refine that skate enough that durability won't be sacrificed (as much) for performance.

I have a really hard time believing that they're that light. A TotalOne in a size 8 weighs 690 grams. A 500 gram skate would be nuts. As said above, I can see a ton of durability issues occurring with those.

If I recall correctly, my Flexlites were around 575g per skate with Step steel installed, not that I wear them for their weight, it's all about the width..!

Nah, that weight is incorrect.

How about waiting for the specs before you diss the helmet?

No offence JR but no spec could make me wear a helmet that looks like that, I think alot of people are with me on this one lol

Pre-season... I think someone said a lot of NHL Pros are trying out new stuff before the regular season. We shall see though!

I just spoke to a shop guy who spoke with the Easton Rep and he said that Chara was a pain to deal with and they flet it was OK that he was off Easton. Someone sounds a little bitter about the breakup.

Supposedly Chara had been trying to go through numerous shaft configuration and blade patterns in an attempt to hone his shot (accuracy and consistency-wise, we all know the power is there). Perhaps that's the reason.

Surprised to see Chara in Warrior. Easton seems to have lost quite a few of their athletes in recent years.

Correct me if I am wrong, but a lot of the guys that were with Easton in the 2000-2006ish days moved to Warrior around then, and now some of the Warrior guys are moving to start their own companies (BASE, Combat/Balistik). Might just be how success in the stick industry is moving around.

Warrior is willing to do a lot more with the sticks to make players happy. The video technology they use is really interesting and allows them to tweak a stick in a number of ways to improve the feel and performance of a stick for a pro.

What "Warrior guy" started Combat?

That shin is part of Bauer's third family of protective equipment. Due out spring 2012.

They are the total One without the yellow.

Well I cant imagine the pain it has to be to get the flex and kick point with a guy that freaking tall.

Sorry squat, Ovi's shin pads are not TotalONEs. The venting on the shin doesn't even match the T1, besides other differences from the shin pads in the picture.

I didn't mean a Warrior guys literally started the company from the ground up, but the guy I know, Pat Lovett, went from Coaching at a few places, to working for Warrior (I think), to working for Balistik (I think he moved on once Combat bought them out).

Pat Lovett has repped several lines in his career. When I met Pat for the first time, he was with Sher-Wood. Just because a sales rep went from one company to another doesn't mean anything.

Combat did not buy Ballistik out, it was merely a name change.

Read your post again and you will see why I commented.
