Hated the change the Sens made to their glove colour pattern, but I must say I can see why. It works very well with these 3rds.

If i had to guess about the bear logo on cooke's gloves i would say it probably is something to do with his kids.

That's the best guess i can think of - but i'm not sure if anyone knows for what it stands for besides him.

Or maybe its just there for people like us to talk about.

On that note: Perhaps JR can get Perron to sport an MSH text on his Warrior gloves? That'd be pretty freakin awesome.

Fixed. Didn't expect my post to be the next page.

Those jerseys are sweet. Not sure I like the socks though.

There will be advertising on his leg pads too.

In addition to the sponsor on the stick paddle, and likely the goal posts and on the net itself too.

Yes, ads on pads. To be honest I can't even see the ads on uniforms when watching a game, only in pics. What's cool about them is that they allow people with less money to go and see games too. Most expensive rinkside seats in SM-liiga cost 37,5€.

Not to mention that without the advertising they simply would not survive so I don't see the big deal, it doesn't detract from the sport at all.

I didn't grow watching hockey and only became interested 12 years ago. So when I watch older games on the NHL network or what have you, I sense something is different. It takes a second or two and then I realize, "Oh yeah, no dasherboard ads and no advertiser logos on the ice."

Logos and advertisements become part of the scenery and I'm guessing advertising on jerseys and pads will be "absorbed" by the eye and brain the same way as those on the boards and ice.

ugh! That reminds me of that college football field (LSU I think) that is all purple. Horrible!

But at least that's for Breast Cancer Awareness and not going to be like that a whole season. At least I hope not. lol

I think you're thinking of Boise St. with the blue field.

The blue field defiantly had to be one of those drunk ideas that sounded absolutely amazing, then you see it and completely regret it.

Definitely, Definitely, Definitely, holy shit, how can no one spell that word. Also, the blue field was an advantage not only for Boise's branding, but their team as well, at least until this season when they were barred from wearing all blue uniforms for home games.

Ugh, "awareness," Because someone is definitely going to a High School hockey game, asking "whats with the pink ice?" and then surmising "Woah! Breasts can get CANCER! I had no idea?"

Awareness is code for "pretending to help without really helping."
