Watching the Habs/Pens game, and it looks like the guys wearing foot protection over their skates are sporting a version with straps attached by rivets. The only models I've seen have straps that are attached by Velcro. Are the riveted models available for sale anywhere?

Probably something that the trainers did. I've seen (a few times) where a player takes a shot and the skate guard ends up coming off. The rivet (or button) snapped on the strap will keep that from happening.

P.s. by the look of that play and his pants, i think whoever that is might be a bit confused as to what sport hes playing...

Right below the "View New Content" button is the MSH Code of Conduct. I don't believe posting leaked photos is in the CoC but MSH has a good reputation with most every hockey manufacture and MSH has agreed to not allow leaked photos to be posted. MSH is rewarded by the manufactures by getting the full inside scoop on new products and official pictures of the products. PLUS, many manufactures support MSH by offering products for long-term testing and by attending MSH sponsored skates like Winterfest and Summerfest.

Only reference I can find on them. The Winger was cut higher for mobility.

Has anyone heard anything about the new reebok socks? All I heard is that they were comin out with new ones. My lhs said he's not pickin anymore up till they come out

Been wanting a comple pairs intermediate size Reebok Edge socks as well.....need to order em up online I guess.

Everyone on my old teams used to wear Douglas shoulder pads back in the early 1990s. They were great. Great protection and well padded. Nothing like the football style pads listed above. Here's a good example....

Maybe they are waiting for their Winter Classic ones to be produced? Either that or did their socks change with the new unis last year? I don't think they did but he could be waiting on updated ones.

After having seen the U+ CL and CS shoulder pads, I take back what I said earlier about them. I think that they are quality and will push protective in a new direction. The new reebok shoulder pad is very interesting also

Was down low for the Rangers/Pens game tonight. Some random observations.

Was surprised to see more or as many guys using the Vapor X7.0 skates over the APX's. Gaborik, Dubinsky, Anisimov, just ot name a few. Also, seemed like players were opting for the Supreme One100's over the TotalOnes.

Not a single player used Fusion runners.

Malkin's Bauer gloves almost looked too small for him.

Was Dubinsky using a Nexus stick? Didn't look like a Bauer APX or TotalOne.

Saw more players using Graf skates than in recent games.

I heard a lot of people don't like the Fusion runners so they stay away. I wanted to get the total ones but after gettin the one100's so cheap ($150 new in box) I couldn't past them up. But I think when the nexus come out I'm goin for them....and and the stick are you allow to post a pic? That's if you got one...I would love to see it
