elpresidente99 1 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 What are the benefits from the apx over the totalone skate. How can you compare the fit. My lhs only had the t1 stock and he said the fit is similar. What do you say. Thanks

What do you say. ThanksI say that is horse S@#$!I tried on both. After feeling how well the APX fit my foot I realized the total one feels like a block on my foot. Did the total one fit you? Jason 65 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 They definitely don't fit the same.
elpresidente99 1 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 Yeah thy don't fit like a glove but after heating it i think they will be fine. How can you compare the width of the two. Thanks
Rockingsquat 4 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 The supreme is a lot wider.
jimmy 194 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 They definitely don't fit the same. This is so funny, especially after seeing all the people who had T1's last season, now have the APX. So they must fit the same. (sarcasm)
sebseb 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 I know a guy last winter that had a pair of X60 and said he felt great in them, but since he needs the very best, he was going to get the T1 . No use trying to explain the whole fit thing, different lines for different feet and all that
jbatafuco 6 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 Buy whatever looks coolest, fit be damned. I'm sure that baking them will be able to stretch, shrink, lengthen or widen the skates, provided they look cool.
Tondog 12 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 Take every opportunity you can to try on both and then see for yourself. The two have quite a few differences that your foot might notice drastically. I can tell you that I recently went from X60's to APX's and the fit is dramatically different between the two for me and so your results might be just as dramatic. I CAN tell you that the APX is sure nice feeling on the ice because of the lightness but the TotalONE is going to be pretty similar in that category.
wrangler 157 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 Read any skate thread here, you'll see the same advice: buy the skate that fits your foot. You'll also see that the Vapor and Supreme lines fit quite differently. And you'll see that there are people who, for whatever reason, are more concerned with wearing a particular skate model, than with wearing a skate that fits well, and being able to skate their best.As you can see, this thread is no exception. You've learned one thing about the guy at your LHS. His advice on skate fit is suspect at best, and may be totally worthless.

ThanksBaking will not make them fit like a glove. If you have space in them this will not be fixed and the skate does not fit your foot. The APX fits narrower than the total one. Sounds like you lhs just wants to sell what is on the shelf.
LivHockey84 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2011 Yeah thy don't fit like a glove but after heating it i think they will be fine. How can you compare the width of the two. ThanksThe T1 has a tighter heel lock and a wider forefoot (think D 1/2). While the Vapor has the classic "wider" Vapor heel (Feels a bit tighter then the lesser vapors to me) and a smaller, more tapered toe box. With that being said, the tongue is different too but not a ton. The outer material is the same as well.

elpresidente99 1 Report post Posted August 31, 2011 So you say the fit is the only real difference between apx and t1. My problem was the x60 in D was too tight and the EE too wide. So i think the T! maybe exactly between. Ive read that the apx also have a wider toebox than the X60.Greetz
LivHockey84 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2011 Yeah your right JR, but to me it (due to the shape of the toe cap) it only feels like a D 1/2, not quite a full EE.

raganblink 82 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 Yeah your right JR, but to me it (due to the shape of the toe cap) it only feels like a D 1/2, not quite a full EE.Because it's not a EE.Bauer's EE is Reebok/CCM E. Easton's wide. Truly a wide version of the skate. This is true for vapors, because the last is true. With the supremes, a D is a bauer E, which is between normal and wide width (between bauer D and EE). A or B? or am i not even close?
raganblink 82 Report post Posted September 2, 2011 I want to say A (normal width heel) but don't quote me on that... Personally it feels wider then that, but I'm not positive.

s_franchise 5 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 im not sure if its been talked about, but i was looking at both boots today at the LHS, and they had the same low cut looks [apx/supreme] will that maybe alter how the APX fits due to the boot being shorter in height then previous vapor models? cwc2134 1 Report post Posted September 8, 2011 I thought D is A width heel and EE is B width heel.Dont want to keep asking but can anyone confirm this for me?
Mario123 2 Report post Posted September 8, 2011 Wait, the APX is shorter in height than previous high end vapors??This could be why I can't wear the APX...Would this mean the APX has a lower eyelet orientation as well??I was getting nasty tongue pressure at the front of my foot on the sides..Other than that, the heel lock on the APX is the best I ever had on any skate to date! Jason 65 Report post Posted September 9, 2011 E is between D and EE, isn't it? In that case you and JR wouldn't be in disagreement anyway.

The APX is not the same fit as the x:60.How does the fit of the APX differ from the x60? I found the x60's to be way too deep for me. My old bauer XXX's are still the best fitting skate I've ever had.
