do you use the top eyelet on your skate

Recommended Posts

I used to skip the top eyelet with One95 since they were providing tons of support & overall were hard to flex when laced all the way to the top.

With TotalOnes I lace them all the way up since even with custom stiffness #3 (vs retail #2) I still don't feel likei I'm getting the same support.

I do, I like the ankle a bit tighter. Just my style.

I use to not tie the top two. Now its just the top eyelet. I actually like it in the manner that I can buy 84" Laces and they tie up perfectly length wise.

Graf 703's--I laced all the way up.

X:60's--skipped the top eyelet, probably due to size

APX's--lace all the way up

It really depends on the fit and forward range of motion on the skate for me.

Going to have to try undoing the top eyelet, as the one100s have a really stiff tongue. I find it hard to get decent ankle/knee flexion

When I used Vapors I skipped the top eyelet because they have they go up so high. My Grafs I lace all the way up because they are a little lower.
