Stealth RSii

Recommended Posts

Trying to get a review of this stick that people are using. Looking to see if the changes that Easton tried to make, worked. I've broken about 5 of the original rs's and love the release of the stealth elliptical taper line. So if you have been using this please say how the stick has been holding up/performing. Thanks.

You're missing the point. There aren't going to be reviews of the stick out until a few days before the release date, if that.

And you're wrong.

We had 30+ people use them at summer jam last month and they have offered opinions on the stick.

It is an improved RS In my opinion.

The blade is much more responsive and MUCH more durable. Just a very solid blade and the puck feel is spot on. You always know where the puck is on your blade. You can receive and handle passes very nicely too.

The shots with this stick are rockets. I have even more juice behind my shots than I did with the RS! The shaft snaps a little harder, and does play a little stiffer than the rs so you might want to consider going down a flex.

The blade durability is insane. Much improved over RS

Bit too early to say that, no?

No, I have been using the stick for three months.

I would expect the blade on a 250$ stick to last well over 3 months with regular use, so the fact that it's lasted 3 months doesn't strike me as "insane".

You have to take into account how much you skate. For example, if I played twice a week and the blade lasted three months, I might be a little disappointed, but I have been playing with this RS II for three months and been on the ice 5 days a week for sessions that are pretty hard on the stick, and it has held up perfectly, so I am thrilled at the durability of this product

I guess we have different standards for durability.

Aha, I agree with your first post. 3 months doesn't mean too much.

It's great that it's lasted for you VIPER.

3 months for someone playing 5 times a week is REALLY good, actually. For a house leaguer? No that isn't that good. But if someone is playing at a high level, that's really good.

For instance AAA players (U16s) that I know typically go through a stick every 3-4 weeks. Conversely AA players at that same age usually take 2-3 months, and A players they almost always last a full season. It all depends on how much you're playing and the level that you're playing at.

I still don't agree, but it's great that you guys are satisfied with the durability.

the guy plays 5 times a week, and from my understanding somewhat high level hockey. not sure what standards you have but it is pretty good if the stick held up perfectly after 3 months. I dont know anyone around me that their high end sticks are fine after 3 months of usage.

Again, I just don't think 3 months/60 sessions qualifies as "insane" durability. Improved over the original RS? Sure, but not "insane".

Thanks guys. From my experience with high end sticks, I had never had one last three months. The Bauer Total One lasted 1 month, the APX lasted 1.5 months, the widow lasted a month, the original RS lasted a month, and the RS II has lasted three months and still going strong.

I have broken one stick in five years and I play all year round about two-three times per week....I guess we all know what level I play at

Top sticks are designed for performance not durability. Durability for the average consumer plays a very small part in the engineering and design processes.

Honestly, on a top-end stick, 60 sessions is a long time.

You're paying for performance at that point.

Easton seeds us the sticks for our events rather than just giving us one to review. I think it's a better system; we get varying opinions on the product and we still get to use them early.

Anytime the word insane is used outside of a clinical sense, it's hyperbolic. There is nothing "insane" about compressed woven graphite, no matter how long or short it lasts before breaking. Arguing word choice isn't going to further discussion of the stick.

Without a doubt. I'm not hard at all on sticks and average getting 2 months of play out of them. But having Pro Stock and no warranty I figure I'm getting my money's worth.
