Shinguard Out What Order To Put Gear On?

Been playing with skate tongue outside of my shinguards since the beginning and recently switched to Easton Mako skates that have a different tongue than the Bauer skates making it better (for me) to have my shinguard out and skate tongue in. I used to start with jock shorts, shinguards, socks, pants and then skates. Kind of hard to get the skate tongue and extra length of laces tucked under the shins with socks and everything on. For you players with your shinguards outside of skates, how do you go about putting everything on? Thanks!

I put on shins, socks and pants then skates. I just pull up shins, tie skates and push down shins, then tape socks.

Same here, then the upper body equipment. Pants with zippers are great for this, with my size 11 skates.

I attach them to my jock and leave them up above my knee cap and slid them down after my shins+ skates are on but before I put my pants on.

I pull the socks all the way up to my knees, put my skates on, shove the socks all the way down over my skates, put the shins on, then pull the socks up over my shins.

I'm with Wrangler, zippered legs are the sole reason I'm in One80 pants instead of One60, so I can put my pants on over my skates.

I make no changes if i wear the shins in or out. Shins are always the last lower body piece of gear I put on, then I pull the socks over. I also put the pants on before my skates, I don't want to cut up my pants.

That's why I have the skate guards on.

Cup, Garter, Girdle...then shins and socks.

Then shell.

Then I pull up the socks just enough to loosen the straps, and lift the pad off my legs.

Skates...tuck the tongue under the pads and then pull/strap everything back down tight. Tape.

I cant put my skates on after my shins and pants... too fat to be able to bend over to tie them once the pants are on.. heh.

I'd be interested to try this as I've always put my shins on after skates (tongue out), but I always end up readjusting my skates within the first 5-10 mins of skating after they loosen up a bit.
