Glove suggestions

So I currently have a pair of east eq50 gloves and they are already falling apart on me. Obviously I know it comes down to feel but I was looking for some recommendations. Not looking to spend 200 bucks but not afraid to spend some cash if its worth it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

I've really liked my Warrior Luxe gloves. Tight fit in the hand and looser in the cuff. Should be on clearance sale as they are now discontinued.

You need to narrow it down. How do you want your gloves to fit? Loose? Tight? Tapered (Tighter at the fingers, flared in the cuff)? What features do you want?

Bauer 4 roll pros, 2011 model are on clearance sale in a lot of places. You can't go wrong with these for $60 or so.

Agreed. Once you figure out fit, you can look at the options out there. I love tight fitting gloves and just grabbed TotalOnes on clearance and like them so far through 2 games played with them. They seem like they are tanks and are very light (approx 315 grams) and still have solid mobility.

I have always preferred more of a traditional feel but am open to new suggestions. My main concern other than fit obviously is durability.

I absolutely love the Bauer 4 Roll pros. They have a traditional fit and the freedom of movement is amazing. Not to mention they'r every comfortable. 4 Roll Pros and never look back.

True, completely forgot about those. The palms in the Eagles are truly amazing. Great feel for the stick. It would be a pretty close call for me between these and the Bauer 4 Rolls.

I've had 2 pairs of x60 pros and I have been really pleased with them. They are more of a tapered fit though as opposed to traditional.

Easton se6s, a pro-stock glove, fit pretty similar to eq50s but will be of better quality.

Bauer 4-rolls are great gloves but feel somewhat short in the fingers, so some people don't like their fit.

Retail luxes are very nice as far as fit goes but I personally thought they lacked a bit of protection. Very nice tapered fit though.

PPFs are great gloves, a little tighter than a normal 4 roll but a very nice traditional fit.

CCM CLs are great, but lack plastic inserts. Great tapered fit, probably my second favorite contoured glove behind the x60

Bauer APX/x60s are verrrrrry underrated, as I personally think they're one of the nicest glove designs out. Very mobile cuff but a nice secured/tapered fit through the hand. Get the pros though, the gimmicky palm on the normals are a bit funky.

Let me know if you'd like reviews on any other pairs, I've tried nearly all of them :)

I find the fingers on the PPF to be a bit long but everyone's got their preferences. Top end gloves are starting to steer away from plastic inserts (CCM U+ CL and Warrior Franchises come to mind) because they are using better foams now. The plastic inserts will make little difference and most people just go with them because that's what the pros wear. The plastic inserts will cause the nylon of the glove to wear through faster.

If you like a more traditional fitting glove I like the current year Easton Pro (http://www.hockeymonkey.com/easton-hockey-gloves-pro-sr.html) and Bauer Nexus 1000 (http://www.hockeymonkey.com/bauer-hockey-gloves-nexus-1000-sr.html). The quality of the Nexus 1000 glove feels much higher than the Nexus 800 and the previous years' 4-Rolls. The mesh gussets are also a preference of mine but are rare to come by when it comes to retail gloves. While on the topic of mesh gussets I also like the Graf G65. It's a tighter fitting glove than the Easton Pro and Bauer Nexus 1000 but the styling is not what I'd consider anatomical. The rolled seams on the index and pinky fingers are a nice feature as well.

Thank you everyone for all your input so far. Have to admit I am a bit of an Easton snob and was looking at this years pro. Although unfortunately I havents found a pair at my LHS yet because they were sold out was curious if there was any improvement in the palm from last years?

I've tried the current Pros. Good improvement over its predecessor. Fingers are quite snug, similar to your anatomical gloves like Supreme, but then blooms out towards the cuff. Palms and overall feel is very comfortable, I was quite impressed by them.

I was under the impression that micro nash palms of the warrior franchises lets say, were decent set of palms? no? and not shitty? Anyone aware of Warrior updating the franchise anytime soon?

As stated above, ultimately it's going to depend on what kind of fit you prefer. I'd always been an Easton glove guy. But when my Synergy's started falling apart I just couldn't find an Easton replacement that I was comfortable with. I used to play box lacrosse back in the 70s & 80s. I prefer a looser fit with a mobile cuff. I don't like feeling like my hands/wrists are restricted. I struggled with a replacement glove for a while, but settled on a CCM CL. They have some wear issues but couldn't be happier. Hockeymonkey has some pro-stock Reebok and CCMs for very reasonable prices. Depends on what colour you can live with and sizes are definitely limited.

I really like they Harrow Hybrid gloves, they are designed based on the flexibility and dexterity of lacrosse gloves.

I was also very impressed when I tried on a new pair of CCM CL 500 gloves in a store the other day... VERY NICE.

I'm in a pair of Graf Supra G-45s (http://www.hockeymonkey.com/graf-hockey-gloves-supra-g45-sr.html). I really like them. They're lightweight and flexible, and the price was right! They don't have the best protection out there (if you get hit in the hand with a shot, you'll feel it), but I love the fit, the weight, and palms have held up really well. I think I had to fix one seam, but I've never had a pair of gloves where that wasn't the case, at some point. To give you an idea, I've had them for at least 6 months, and people still ask me if I just got new gloves.

What have you guys found the closest to the hand fit is? In the past I've worn supremes, an am currently in Reebok Platinums (an offshoot of the old 7k's). Im looking for the best fit and performance. I've read a lot about Eagle Talon's 60's and 90's however 90's only come in sizes likely too large was wondering if anyone could give any input or suggestions. As well im wondering if its at all worth going custom with gloves if your going with black/white color scheme and are looking to beef up performance features, and also will they customize my a size like perhaps a 13.5.

I like the Vapor fit of gloves the best. Not too snug or not too boxy.
